Computer shows amount worn. That being said, if clutch was not set up correctly when changed... the wear percentage could be incorrect.

Its is the clutch wear. Is it the original clutch or been changed at some point. Mine is original clutch and only at 22% and 16000 miles

When you adjust the PIS the clutch wear reading changes... just FYI.

    Mario ,

I assuming you mean "clutch wear index" not clutch wear ? The PIS will not change clutch closed position or clutch position from new which are the parameters that are to calc clutch wear percent
The two factors that changes clutch wear % from one day to the next, from my experience, is the status of the gearbox ( hot or cold and what gear you left it in when you shut off the engine) - you will get two different readings for closed clutch position ( thus affecting % wear percent) when car is cold vs hot, and if you left in 1st or neutral the night before ...I always try to keep the parameters the same .. leave in neutral the night before and measure in morning .. at least you will be measuring apples to apples

Sorry yes, clutch wear index only, not clutch wear percentage (closed or closed from new). I remember when I did my PIS my wear index dropped a lot. Then I did a reset on it, and it stayed lower than before; can' remember values.

Yes the clutch wear index is dynamically calculated by the TCU based on how clutch is grabbing - by changing the PIS you are changing pickup points , slip, etc thus changing the index
The index is used as well to determine torque curve during pick up
You can monitor index to see if PIS is too tight or too loose - I like 3200 ish

It should be original clutch then, have a look through the bottom of clutch for any sign of grease or oily deposits- the seals on my release bearing was leaking and had to have new one fitted
