Are you referring to these? https://www.superformance.co.uk/355/body.html The list includes non-Challenge body panels.
Yes, i called them and said they could not give any guarranty that it will fit nicely on a non challenge car. They do not have any feedback about those parts. They do not have the fixing points for the bolts apparently. Anyone has any experience with those panels ?
Thanks for your help. My post is about finding parts, OEM and generic if compatible. Sorry for sharing my story.
Don't be sorry. Just put up a post in the forum. There's a whole forum for you. Most people don't check this thread, so more people will see it there. But please stop posting in this thread, which serves a specific purpose.

Hello everybody. It's been a while since I've contributed to this forum. I'm a diehard F355 fan, and I've wanted to own one since I was a kid in Venezuela. I fell in love with them when we had the 355 challenge; it was undoubtedly a different country back then. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the F355's introduction, and I've been binge-watching videos on YouTube. I'm pretty sure I'm not the first person to notice this, but it seems like a recurring theme that many parts for our beloved car aren't being manufactured anymore. I wonder if anybody has compiled a list of the parts that have been discontinued and/or are becoming difficult to find (please keep in mind that I haven't read the forum in a while) perhaps an individual with entrepreneurial aspirations and deep love for the F355 (and other models) might take on producing this parts and keep the 355 evergreen. Thanks you all Wolfgang
As far as I know, there is no list... and we want to discourage "entrepreneurs"... aka scalpers... who have have bought all the rare parts and are charging ridiculous prices for them. The list would change from time to time. e.g. the previously hard-to-find HVAC timer actuator is now available. Substitute items can often be found in this sticky thread: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/f355-355f1-parts-thread.333036/ Yes, there are a few people producing parts which are hard to find (e.g. the 3D printing guys). Also, companies like Hill Engineering (UK) sometimes have reproductions (and improved) hard-to-find parts.
Just so you know, that is really the job of Maranello Classic Parts. Ferrari really does not want to be in the parts business. When the cars reach an age Ferrari no longer wants to deal with it they give all remaining parts, the drawings and exclusive right to reproduce parts under Ferraris name to them. The company is currently owned by Roger Penske. Under his ownership they have reduced the number of different parts they keep in stock. But from time to time they decide it is worth making some parts they never had done, or make more of one not available for a while. The danger is if you get very invested in making a part, they may come along and take your market away. It is one of the reasons few make Ferrari parts. I don't want to discourage you, just be aware of the market place.
Perhaps identify gaps in supply for a smaller subset of parts and/or consumables that might be or become in demand, produce and offer them at a fair market price.

Image Unavailable, Please Login I found that a -161 sized o-ring works perfectly when installing the fuel pump cover to the fuel tank. The Ferrari part number is 138453 and costs around $54 + shipping while the -161 only cost me $5.35 + shipping for a pair. I bought them from McMaster-Carr and their part number is 9464K117 but you should be able to easily obtain them from many other sources. Also the ones I purchased are made from chemical and fuel resistant Viton so they will not swell up and expand like the Ferrari original that does not like our modern gasoline that contains ethanol. The photo shows the expanded Ferrari original along with one of the new ones.
This vibration damping mount 9225K63 from McMaster-Carr https://www.mcmaster.com/9225K63/ works well as a substitute for the failure prone Ferrari 142202 damper support for the air cleaner boxes. The photo shows the McMaster replacement next to a distorted and cracking original. They both have the same softness to the rubber and the same length M6 threaded studs. The Ferrari price is around $30 each and the McMaster price is $4.29 and seeing as there are six of these needed per car that is a substantial savings. Because they mount to the air cleaner boxes from underneath they are hidden from view once installed if you are concerned about the look of the exposed metal caps on the original as opposed to the hidden caps on the replacement. Great fining indeed. After I get my project done as the thread A GENUINE KIND of gear replacement for f355 timing actuator 63307100, I happened to see that you had already brought this hope to us two year ago but not sure if there was any following up somewhere in Ferrarichat since I did not see any? I have located many from Alfa/Fiat/Lancia by google searching 90225 or magneti marelli B837 printed on the timing actuator and lid actuator accordingly, which get the result same as you did and more. Then I had hunted and collected over 10, including one genuine lid actuator from Eurospares plus my own 4 genuine, with 3 different outlooks and different 2/3/4/5 wires, to open, research and verify. What let us down are the 3 wires https://alfa-restoration.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?products_id=2349 you found, although the same casing as timing actuator, is NOT timing actuator and those I collected even 5 wires all proved to be regarded as sort of lid actuator mainly because some without the potetiometer as well as some with the potetiometer but the potetiometer and wires layout is not the same as genuine timing actuator. The only good news is there are same two-piece gears and motor inside https://alfa-restoration.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?products_id=2349 which could be leveraged for interchange as a spare if they are good. Out of those I collected, there are broken as well as healthy two-piece gears but I gave it up using healthy ones due to aging issue. Then I have leveraged a healthy two-piece gear to molding and casting for a long term solution so that I have the genuine kind of gear replacement made myself. No worries anymore. I imagine some people might not know their AGING two-piece gear is already partially or nearly cracked as I did. Compared to timing actuator, flap actuator or lid actuator' structure is much more simpler, only 2 wires directly connected the motor and no potetiometer for example. But the casing is more difficult to open than timing actuator. Fortunately, lid actuator is still available from Ferrari as of now which I had collected one. And for the alternatives from Alfa/Fiat/Lancia, there are many and cheaper as you found, either new old stock or used. However, other than 2 wires which can directly plug and play as a unit, most of the 3/4/5 wires actuators are not direct replacements. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Renault Clio mk2 recirc actuator is a direct replacement. See https://cliosport.net/threads/recirculation-flap-help-doing-it-now.769652/
Good lead! You mean lid actuator 63306700 flap actuator. Is any available now? I am not able to locate one? The direct plug and play replacement from Alfa/Fiat/Lancia is still available and many out there either for 2 wires or 3 plus wires with mod.
Yes, the recirc flap actuator. The Renault part is much easier to find in the UK than the Lancia/Alfa part.
Nice! When I said "not able to locate one", I did the search on eBay.uk and googled worldwide as well.
