You got to exercise some patience here. Most people—I'm talking 99% of the population—don’t have a clue about the difference between a road car and a race car. They don't understand the intensity, the sheer terror you feel when you're strapped into a GT2 or GT3 race car, flying around the track like your life depends on it. The "piss-your-pants" kind of experience you're talking about.

And trust me, I know what it’s like to market to these people! For most of them, a "race" is pulling up to a stoplight and trying to beat a Corvette! That’s their idea of adrenaline, of speed, or 'racing.'

Before I'm declared all high and mighty - I know someone like Charles Leclerc would laugh at me behind the wheel. And you know what? That’s okay, because I’d never—never—pretend otherwise. The difference here is I respect the gap, and I’m honest about it.

How do you know, have you seen the real thing?

 

couple of "mild" falls from bike quickly cool my desire to proceed driving them .
And not necessary on the track, you just think that everywhere there is a gap and that everyone is noticing you while you negotiate your way through the traffic...

Yes, and although all the many pre-production cars are covered in a dazzle camo, it’s pretty clear what it will look like, and it will look (from the rear 3/4) like I already posted multiple times. And, to @jpalmito ’s horror, it will have a black roof, LOL, not red as shown in that render… and not wobbly, undefined surfaces… front fenders have vertical fences along the edge with mirrors supported off the inside of the said fenders not the top of the doors as shown… scalloped door top leading to the cooling elements at the rear…

Maybe it’s the angle of attack or a perspective issue , but in this image the car looks much more angular /wedge shaped than the other pics …. Up on its haunches, ready to attack …..

Good effort but considering the car is practically unveiled, that’s not great. Besides the wheels, the whole area below the belt line is wrong—missing the door top intakes and NACA scoop behind it—and practically the whole greenhouse is wrong.

 

Front and side are well off

 

The white section has is not flat like that and there is the first of the aero outlets there also

Wheel torque measurement at front and rear axle = 4wd.

 

3 electric motors, 2 being at the front driving the front wheels

 

Makes sense its AWD if they are trying to make links with, and using similar powertrain architecture to the 449p. This is going to be a heavy car with these electric motors, battery and moveable aero parts etc. Around the same as a 918 i guess, 1800kg (Ferrari will claim 1550kg).

 

Nope Its lighter than the La Ferrari not heaps but it is lighter.

 

What is the true weight of the LaF? 1550 kg dry / 1650 kg kerb?

 

It looks like their version might be based on the Pininfarina Battista/B95.
