That summarizes it nicely. And whereas 812SF was marginally unattractive, 12C is just plain ugly.

12 cilindri got more favourable ride reviews than 812SF at the time, despite not adding hp/kg. I think Ferrari focused on the right things here.

This one should be framed "Traveller" likes your comment. Perhaps some more Blu Simond will be a sufficient temptation to climb on board???

This Journo claims the 12C makes the 812 feel like a bus Lets say he's exagerating but for sure the 12C is an big improvement in dynamics and handling etc over the 812

I believe you should be able to order it via your dealer without recourse to either Atelier or Tailor made as the sample books containing the additional 12 new extra range leather colours were made available to dealers at the end of last year. These new colours are Beige Luciana, Blu Lipari, Giallo Ravello, Grigio Budelli, Grigio Corvara, Rosso Bologna, Rosso Ducale, Rosso Giudecca, Terra Antica, Verde Bellagio, Verde Norcia and Verde Venaria. I believe they are code INTX which appears on the 12 Cillindri price list as "Special leather" but have not had that confirmed by my dealer.

This image of the new sample book was on a dealer's insta page. These new colours are also available in alcantara.

12C not worthy of that color.

The video says that the 8-speed has an additional high gear for emissions but the other 7 are now 5% lower. To put that into perspective, the 812sf 7-speed is 6% lower than the F12.

The reviews have been very positive. Didn’t Henry Catchpole say “I like the 812. I like this more.” as his concluding remarks? From what I can gather the 12 Cilindri is a better car than the 812. Quelle surprise.

One would expect the new car to be better. Based solely on reviews, it seems the Dodici’s looks give you the first hint as how it compares to the 812. The 812 seems to be more of a sports car ethos, where as the Dodici seems to be nudged in the GT direction. This is probably a wise move, as the performance of the sports cars has moved way way beyond, and the mechanical layout works better for more of a GT car. If you want an 812, you can get an 812. And if you like what they did here, then you can go for it. Im not sure it’s a Tributo in the way the F8 was, because they have not stated if they will continue making the V12. I think they should. Anyway, at this point in the process, Im in the same place I was with the F12 and 812, at first I didnt like the styling then I thought it looked ok, then I thought it looked better in videos and on the move, and then I came to really appreciate it. As I see it, the F12 and 812 are more 60s in their design approach, and the Dodici is more 70s. I usually prefer the 60s, time will tell….

This is what Chat GPT says about the survival of V12 under Euro 7

"The survival of V12 engines in the Euro 7 emissions era is highly unlikely, at least in their traditional, naturally aspirated or turbocharged internal combustion form. The Euro 7 emissions regulations, set to be some of the strictest in the world, are aimed at reducing CO2 and NOx emissions to unprecedented levels, with a strong push toward electrification and hybrid technologies. V12 engines, known for their power but also high emissions and fuel consumption, face several challenges under these conditions"

I was able to see both the coupe and spider at Ferrari Challenge at Indianapolis a few weeks ago. I will say they look better in person than in pictures, but I still refer to them as a love-hate relationship. Spider definitely looks better, and other than the haptics, love the interior. The rear, however, is very "busy" and is the one area that makes me question the design. The moveable aero flaps seem unnecessary and something else to cause repairs down the road. I am still on the fence as to converting my spider deposit into an order, or taking the refund and keeping the extra money for maintenance on my F12.

Raffaele de Simone said that it is about 1-1.5'' slower than the 296, but a lot quicker than the 812, around Fiorano. That could be down to newer tyres though.

The 550 M, 575M, 599, F12B, F12TDF, 812SF and 812 C all have an official Fiorano's lap time. For decades we have become accustomed to comparing the evolution and performance of a new Ferrari GT V12 with that of its predecessor, and one of the elements used in this comparison has been the difference in Fiorano's lap time.
The fact that Ferrari has not yet revealed the Fiorano's lap time of the 12 C intrigues me and suggests that this is due to the fact that it is marginally faster than the 812 SF or not even that using similar tires. The tires make a difference but one can only validate or not what Raffaele de Simone said if Ferrari presents its Fiorano's lap time for the 12 C.

Traveler's TDF, in addition to being in a rare and beautiful Blu Simond, is aesthetically still from that old school in which the rear of a Ferrari GT V12 was defined by 6 or 8 circles. Although Manzoni continues to re-educate the world to what he proclaims to be the new Ferrari aesthetic and the future, there are many of us who will never be convinced.

Most the reviewers have said it feels much quicker than the 812
Doesn't the rear wheel steer alone help a lot ?
Anyways best to wait for actual one on one comparison tests
