I do not understand; is this Japanese market only?
How do they go from the recent Prius to this???

 

It think it really questions the quality of judgment for the Toyota management that is making the incremental approval process during development. Is it a case of being Design management or is it from the executives above Design? Someone is saying "yes" when they need to have never been a part of the decision process. It is not like Toyota has a history of consistently producing great design but this is one that should have been recognized as a turd early in the process.

It would be interesting to hear from the studio designers who did this to have their honest process description.

 

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should…….a bit curious as to what program those designers came from…..

Looking at the white 3/4 rear; my first thought was "Hot Rod Lincoln"

I don't think all that "black chrome" works @ R-R price point; but certainly not on the grille.
The Spirit of Ecstasy looks more Grim Reaper here...

 

Kinda de-stately'd - might make cool Bentley Turbo R redux ...?

 

This would make a nice addition to someone's Man Cave providing the Bankruptcy Court puts it up for sale.
