    23 it is, not 27.
Race numbers begin with 1 and go to 27 but four numbers in between not used.

It looks it will be a very demanding waterproof test for the attending cars: today it's a very bad weather here in northern Italy, and tomorrow not a much better weather is espected.

However it's a very nice looking sight indeed, rain or not!

    Ciao

Correct, very wet and cold weather throughout the day. It should be the same tomorrow but being part of this gathering and seeing so many GTOs in the wild is a privilege. What a beautiful car!

I certainly would not fault them for finding a warm bar, a warm drink and waiting for better roads.

A couple mins ago in Mantova, Italy, during the 288 GTO Legacy Tour, John Elkann talking to Andrea Modena (head of SAT and Ferrari Classiche), before entering his 56203.

He knows every chassis number, trust me, I've seen his list!

Perhaps the rain stopped because JE joined the tour.

March, Amsterdam. I guess the same Dutch car that was in the GTO Tour?

I only had two 'big' model cars as a kid. A 1/18 Bburago Countach and a 1/24 Bburago 288 GTO. I think I still have it somewhere. Money no object I'd prefer owning the 288 GTO over the Countach these days. Heck, I'd prefer a 360 CS over a Countach, even a manual F355. But the Countach remains the ultimate poster car together with the F40.
