Does anyone know if they have made any changes from 2024 to 2025 for the 296? I know a few years ago at the model year change they made Apple Car Play standard as well as the passenger display at the cost of a price bump.

Not sure if it's specifically the MY changeover, but recently delivered cars now have the steering wheel from the Roma Spyder/Puro

I have not laid eyes on a 25 but the later arriving 2024 models have been showing up with the newer style steering wheel. There is a thread about it on here. The other thing I noticed the panel with the mirror and lifter control buttons does appear to have a larger raised up line on it. Perhaps to allow better finger positioning without having to remove your eyes from the road.

In the UK, likely Europeas well, ADAS is now either standard or mandatory and they have made the front "sensor box" somewhat smaller. As noted earlier the new, substantially non-haptic, steering wheel is now standard.

Reading comprehension aside, are we happy or upset to have the old wheel?

I would rather have the new wheel with raised buttons and improved wake up feature. Mine is SLOW

I’d like to try the new one. I got used to it on the Roma so I’m pretty good at navigating it. I like what they did with the HVAC on the 296 too. Biggest frustration is having to select favorites every time I get in the car to use the steering wheel back buttons to scroll through the radio stations.

There is a way to have only your favourites show up. Fiddle around and you will see it. Hit the middle button on touch pad when you are listening to a radio station and there is a menu. One of the options is to filter favourites

Sorry I wasn't clear. That's the procedure I was referencing. I don't like having to do that each time you get in the car though. You should be able to set it and it stays on.

When I had my Roma I was working with the factory engineer to try to find a solution to no avail. And now it's the same on my 296. The defacto setting doesn't make much sense to me. All of my other cars have the favorites on the wheel as default.

You are right. I just went thru similar experience. Some of the things that people find annoying should be made into a list and sent by all of us to our respective dealers so that they can get an update from Ferrari. If enough people complain, they might well listen. In my experience, always good to .cc the dealer but send an e-mail to the CEO of the offending company - usually motivates everyone in the food chain and also makes them sit up straight when next one has an issue so they don’t receive another scolding!

Good advice. I’ve logged this with two dealers and the factory. If others agree, I would encourage everyone to at least tell the dealership you want a fix when you go in for service. That all gets cataloged and noticed by the factory techs.

I received a reply from the head of Te Ferrari brand at H.R. Owen. He’s taking it up with the factory. It’s really a royal pain to have to set everything up before each journey - even if you take a break on the motorway! For someone like me who is inexperienced with the brand but completely addicted, they need to be provided feedback for mutual benefit to them as well as their clients. That my humble opinion. Perhaps they will ignore but I will persist and encourage others to also consider doing the same.

When does the 2024 stop and the 2025 begin?

I had my VIN assigned middle of June and it’s a 2025 car.

Here is one for you. In some markets the year digit is not used , it is a 0 . So how do you tell what year it is ?

Thanks I had found that and also the “filter favourites” however, on next start the stations were not filtered to my favourites only and I had to again tick “filter favourites.” One of the things they should have resolved as car is in shop for window smears, the cause of which they have identified and hopefully resolved.
