Now that I have seen the F250 in the flesh and having seen the mcl on pictures, I have absolutely no doubt that the f250 will take the price in all categories.

Even if it will be most probably much more expensive, there is no way I would take the mcl over the ferrari.

If the 0-200 kmh stat of a little over 5 seconds is accurate, then that is blisteringly fast for a road car. Something like a second and a half faster than SF90, which is already doing hypercar type acceleration. Of course, acceleration is only one measure, but we tend to focus on it, because its fun.

Well actual Formula One cars are usually on 4.8 seconds to do the same acceleration.
This metric alone speaks volume about how fast F250 will be..

Honestly I could easily confuse the McLaren with a 2016 675lt.

The F250 is very different from any other car. One can like it or not but it will always be recognized without any mistake.

If I remember well, they said that the f250 is around 1,5s faster than the SF90 XX in fiorano. Maybe a little more but I don't want to give inaccurate info.

Name, numbers and price should be made public on October 17.

They tried to give the car a monoplace feeling and I honestly think that they did really well. Seating inside at both the pilot or passenger seat is quite an experience.

The top management also attended the first presentation (October 5 in the morning, right after the gto legacy tour), this includes P. Ferrari, J. Elkan, B. Vigna, E. Galiera amongst others. It clearly shows that they take this very seriously and this car is undoubtedly a masterpiece that took many years to be developed. Let's remember that the laferrari was revealed some 12 years ago. They clearly took their time.

W1 is not so bad but loooks more like Hennessey than Mclaren

The F250 has electric front e-motors so it should certainly be faster in most races from a standstill. 0-300 and roll races might show a different result. Lap times will be comparable, I predict.

Highly recommend reading through the detailed press release which elaborates deeper on the design approach and engineering. More Easter eggs will surely be dropped over time. I think it’s fair to say that both the F250 and W1 will be technological marvels and staying true to their respective brand ethos.

With electrified front axle F250 will be faster on most of the tracks compared with W1.
1270hp on rear wheels alone will be unmanageable for drivers.

Real-Zeus, while I don't always agree with your assessments, I commend you for being so passionate and enthusiastic about Ferrari.
I don't lust for the new electronic monsters but your input helps me having another view of these cars. Thanks. Great times for new "sports" cars.

Off to Maranello tomorrow, need to go pack. I really appreciate all the passion in this thread, it has been a super fun time thinking and debating what will be. Can't wait to see and understand the car, styling, engineering, four days and counting. See you guys on the other side of all the speculation...

    Forza Ferrari!

I‘m really disappointed by the W1. The P1 had such a clear, confident and strong design but the new one looks like two design concepts were merged into one. The front has these hard edges in contrast to the side and back with flowy curvy lines. While the W1 spoiler has a nice movement, the mechanical solution looks kind of „flimsy“. A good design would have been really important as the technical specs are not very inspiring. Just a bit more of the same. Sad!

I hope the F250 is a bit more special.

I feel a bit sad for porsche though. No real 918 successor for them it seems. Maybe they dont want to join the so-called "trinity"

Well, if these numbers are true, then it means is has 75 HP less than the McLaren W1 and weighs 100 kg more.
These inferior stats, coupled with the poor engine choice and the average design means the F250 will be a monumental FAILURE.
And btw, I think the W1 is hideous.

I think we will see the Mission X as Porsches entry to the trinity. Sure there are many complaints about it been an EV, but in the end it will be an interesting take on the hypercar theme.
In the beginning the reception of the 918 wasn‘t good at all, because it was heavier than the other two, but it changed quite a lot, when people recognized how fast and how usable it was.
I wouldn‘t be surprised if the Mission X makes the same development.

To my opinion there’s absolutely no chance an EV hypercar could compete with hybridized Ice cars.
They aren’t desirable enough, simple as that..

Well, yeah, it will take some time, but the W1 isn‘t much more than a rendering either. And don’t forget, there was also the drivable Mission R. The 900 Volt battery concept seams to be the same as what was mentioned for the X.
