So I live in Mississippi and we have a black out tag that is pretty nice looking and more subtle then the regular white ones.....you have to pay more for it but you also can pick vanity. I like the idea of "PRANCIN". Yea or nay?

Vanity plates have been an accepted thing for decades now, especially on distinctive cars.

I think he's more asking if we like his choice of vanity plate.... and I don't but I'm sure some do.

If you like it and it's available, go for it. Worst case you decide later to change back to normal plates and you're out a little bit of money.

You know it's a good idea if Todd is against it. I just ordered a (sigh) mini-van for my wife's parents. I already have a personalized plate in mind.

Sounds kind of gay to me, but if you like it that’s all that matters.

I mostly don’t like vanity plates bur the odd one is alright. I like ‘8s’. Not a vanity plate but I am on my third plate with triple 8s in a row. My insurer saved them for me.

It's all in good fun. Todd is a valued member with personalized plates of his own. And just ask him about PPF.

I tried to convince my with to put HIS4RE on my 458 and HER4RE on her Portifino M. That didn't end well. I still think of the photo shoot I would have done.

So 50-50. Im going to air on the safe side and not do it. I def. want the black tag and will have a black plate holder to get rid of white border. The vanity part is free or I just let them pick. Another thought I had was "windy" as Im from Chicago land and play on words, top down, windy, but I think that is taken. Not as cheesy or is just the idea of vanity on a Ferrari cheesy.....to each his own yes, and in fact, my other ride (23 D110) has vanity of "CHALK", short for my last name Gottschalk. a bit cheesy too but the kids thought it was funny and I won't get messed with as criminals will assume Im a drug dealer.

I have the only Ferrari in the county in my corner of the cornfields - and I'm also the closest thing around to a rock star - so the plate on mine is ROCKER...

Not a fan of vanity plates -- it's like putting another Ferrari emblem on your Ferrari because it doesn't have enough Ferrari emblems and you want to make sure that everyone knows it's a Ferrari. ;)

Can agree that going with the background color and/or number color choice you like is a reasonable decision. I always like just having a "normal" plate on my exotics as it's just my "normal" car. TX offers a plate that says "classic" on it, and the DMV clerk was kind of surprised that I didn't want that on my 1967 restomod -- but everyone should do what floats their own boat...

The plates on my Porsche read: LOTUS F1

So please don't ask me for advice on this topic.
