Strong rumors that the Mission X project is canceled, with an announcement very soon. Porsche must have realized what a catastrophe it would be to launch its new halo car as an EV.
soon the waiting will be over, maybe better not to leak more info about the car, let some things be a surprise. For vast majority a fairly pleasant one
Ala di gabbiano is the system with two fixing points close to the windshield and the rear bonnet both on the roof Farfalla is the door again with two fixing points but one close to the windshield and one close to the wheel’s arch
Would be sad if it‘s canceled. German angst I guess … Give it a few years and there will be EVs we all admire. It needs a whole package: the right brand, great design, strong performance, good balance of weight and design. The Rimac doesn’t work for many because it lacks the brand appeal and the design is way to generic and blunt. Technology and performance are great though. But I will also say, that I‘m sure the ICE will still play an very important role especially for hypercars in the future. I don‘t see a general shift to EVs in this category, but there is space for a few good ones.
Good news if it did. Also they are the ones that are pushing for e-fuels so they might want to capitalize that one with their new hypercar
Well I really doubt this a Brand’s problem. Hybridized ICE is a complex and beautiful piece of machinery. Electrified motors are just bland to my eyes.
Well, honestly the faces were not so bad, especially considering 812 superfast and 488, while this Daytona vintage black strip is just tasting vintage and not in a good way. 365 was never a beautiful Ferrari, to begin with. Too bad this stripe will not disappear after 12Cilindri... Anyway, guess we'll not see another aesthetic masterpice like FXXK again, that car will be forever Manzoni's best exercise, and most deserved Red Dot Design award.
About performances, despite being less powerful and heavier than new ugly but impressive Macca monster, they will be good also due to AWD helping to deploy the torque; however, I consider 2 seconds a lap improvement at Fiorano over SF90 XX as the minimum, considring this should be brand's flagship for 6-8 more years. Even if just for marketing, declaring 1.15.0 would be in line with expectation, still 1 sec slower than wonderful FXXK (non evo) a decade old, but with road legal tires. Hope for a more extreme than ever 250XX, with 1300 kg @250 kmh and 1.11 Fiorano lap time.
that would still make it slower round Fiorano than the 360 GT2 which has 870hp less - I think personally it'd be cool to see it much quicker if possible!
I'm with you on this, but since we are talking about road cars, we cannot really compare even with a GT2, despite power difference, I hope next XX, despite not as gorgeous as FXXK, will really be pushed to the limits, like Lambo did on the SC12, or Pagani did for the Huayra R. Hope to get a 488GT Modificata performance level from the 250XX, just wth more power, but maximum aero feasible by suspensions and setup without comprimising safety and driveability. Sort of GT1 level of aero magic. XXK EVo was a step in the right direction, comapred to very low downforce LaFerrari, since 250 should be much more aero focused, XX version should be the real deal. No slower than 296 callenge, hopefully as fast as the 296 GT3.
Understand that Fiorano is the reference, I expect the F250 will better express its potential at a track that is longer and less twisty than Fiorano, yes? I imagine it would fly at, say, Monza with all that power, active aero, and 4wd to power out of the chicanes.
Sure, Fiorano laptime is mainly a marketing tool nowadays, but is the only official benchmar we have, until they publish De Simone or Leclerc laptimes at Monza or even better, Mugello/Imola, where we could compare it against XX cars. Nevertheless, I doubt Ferrari will veer publish the different lptimes of Sf90XX or 250 at Mugello, at most we'll get laptimes by journalists or private guys, so not really comparising same driver on same weather conditions. Moreover, we are not even getting any Nurburgring lap record attempt, after 599 XX they never tried again nor with 599 XX evo nor with FXXK EVO...which is a pity, but still...
The SF90XX has been loaned to Sport Auto for their Supertest in April, but still no laptime posted... https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5qD2aNC7Qg/?igsh=MTJ1eGJqdXNsemdrZQ==
