Impressive. McLaren w1 used as well regular but rims, much easier to change wheels when you are in rally or cavalcade.
LMAO That's curb which is only a 100kgs more than the F50 yet would destroy it on every performance scale. Sadly sound is another story..... The W1 is 1400kg dry so you do the math.
Yes, the e-turbo will probably also work with exhaust gases. However, the patent expressly mentions the existence of a control unit that increases or decreases the use of exhaust gases in the turbines, so there may be a setting to release the natural intensity of the sound. It is a completely different system from Porsche electric turbo. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I saw the car yesterday, incredible machine and Ferrari on top of his game. pushrod suspension, lots of titanuim and 3D Metal print parts. seating position felt extremely connected to the car, like a LMP or F1. simply stunning, I only miss the center lock wheels... there was one pre-production car in Rosso Supercar (new color, same red as the key box) and a mock up in Giallo Triplo strato which looks fabulous.
Are there a many surface elements, nuances, vents etc., that have been concealed under the camo wrap that we will be surprised to see?
The Informations given were a bit limited, no info about the redline (or I missed it due to excitment) and no official statement regarding weight. Mr. Galliera said that the car is not yet finally homologated so no official weight has been communicated. there are here and there rumours and leaks about production numbers, wheight, price etc but nothing official yet. Official press realease will be at the 17.10. with all the informations.
I have been hearing a rumor of a leaked image. So if you want to see the F250 in person or offical photo/render first just be carful in socials media land
Well, it seems Mclaren this time will brag about having the car with more power, reversing what was the situation of LaF and P1 a decade ago, the W1 is also lighter, but the 250 is keeping its game up with AWD and superior refinement, in addition to be likely more aesthetically pleasing. The extendable wing alone is pretty ugly and giving "vintage transformers naked metal arm" vibes, while at least on 250 the wing is more traditional, but still effective. Moreover, Mclaren is not quoting the speed of the 1000 kg downforce, while 250 is said to produce it at 250 kmh, so it may be more aero efficient in mid speed area. Being W1 battery extremely low capacity - fast charge/discharge one, it may be beneficial for weight but not so good for long lap performancs on Ring or in other conditions, almost like a super power dense mild hybrid; on the other hand, I expect much more electric capacity from 250, thus implying more weight but more extended versatility on road and track as well. At the end of the day, I wonder: -which level of wildness they will be able to reach on 250XX, given that the road version is much more XX than LaF was. -how much they can extract tfrom this V6 for the XX version- likely not so much, just some exhaust gain and ECU tuning. The maximum limit of Ferrari V6 is virtually 1030 CV, but I'm afraid it won't be reached in XX or any other V6 road and track model, being mainly reserved for a virtual simulator-Vision GT. -how much they can extract from V8 for its last application in F40 Icona 2027, since they could extract so much from V6, taking into account engine is older but larger displacement one.
1500 curb weight seems too good to be true, considering the 3 electric motors and battery surely bigger than the tiny W1 one. Not even LaF was 1500 curb...with much less hybrid and RWD only.
The technology was still very new and much heavier, The extra weigh of the V12 etc too. at this point on 300 hp from EV is pretty low so would seem Ferrari have a smaller lighter system
Ferrari announces 1700 kg...just a fact I think it will be more 12 years to give birth to this... A base V6 of 296 No Comments
Valid point, but on ig sources we got all the right data specs plus "around 1530 kg dry weight", which is something in line with expectation and technical packaging. weighing like a no hybrid no messy electronics F12 berlinetta despite so much more going on inside and outside the car (aero+EV components) is still remarkable.
