    I bought a 2017 488 and cannot figure out if it has apple carplay, and if so, how to use it lol. When I bought it from the dealer it was listed on the vehicle detail page and I forgot to ask about how to use it before I left after taking delivery. I did some searching and found mixed results some saying it was an addon, and others saying it was standard on the 2017. There is a USB but when I plug my iphone in nothing happens except that it keeps saying charging then it disconnects, then charging again, endless cycle.

    Is one of the buttons underneath the RHS TFT display marked “CarPlay” if it is you have carplay, if not you don’t.

    it was not standard.

    I wonder if it can be retrofitted . One would imagine it’s a software or a coding trick
