Don't give them any ideas! That huge propeller at the back of the Schienenzeppelin, wonder if that inspired the GMA T.50 design...

Imo the winner for each is
    1. Aston
    2. Ferrari
    3. Aston by a landslide
    4. Aston
    5. Aston
    6. Ferrari
    7. Ferrari

The NA V12 in the Ferrari is a lot more exciting though. The 12c definitely had a lot of potential.

There’s not a single angle where I prefer the Aston. Don’t know what people are looking at. The Aston is over styled - first picture is an example. The Ferrari is smooth, lithe and appealing. The Aston has tried to keep to an old Aston theme and has used angles and lines to update it, somewhat unsuccessfully IMO. Aston just looks bloated and long. It has clarified my view that Manzoni's execution has been crisp Interior is Aston’s most successful element. Different to the Ferrari and both have their merits. A tie for the interior.

I was invited to a preview for the Aston a month ago and went and saw it. My son and I also loved the Aston. There are some cool design new elements. If it wasn’t the money they want , I could have bought one and have one of the first wave cars.

Yesterday we saw the 12 cilindri at the Challenge event. I just loved the car so much , I’m ready to put a deposit. It’s stunning. The comparison isn’t fair to the Aston.

Well the early reviews are coming in and the 12C as expected is a phenomenal drivers car.Perhaps less edgy or loud than the 812 and it appears to be no faster around Fiorano(although the official time is still unavailable)
A more complete GT they call it
More in depth reviews assuredly will come and eventually the comparison with the AM

I watched some reviews and still want to like it, but instead of the looks growing on me, it looks more and more like a Japanese sports car to me aimed at the millennial crowd.

I'm not sure it's more or less likely to appeal to millennials. Perhaps. I'd guess there are plenty of people from all generations who will like it - and plenty who won't. It's divisive. It didn't need to be, but it is.

    Have to agree.
The Aston is such a better looking car by a significant margin. Too bad on the price and less exciting exhaust. Idk what F is thinking with this design language.

Pretty much every review I’ve watched finds the looks challenging, the sound less exciting, and the size gargantuan. They all think the V12 is a masterpiece and it’s a great drive on the road at least, so that’s a positive. The interior seems to divide opinion too between those that love it, and those that hate it.

Possibly the worst comment came from one review which claimed it was like a V12 Roma style GT. Thats not a good vibe for a $500k car…

If the Aston weighed less I’d be happier about it. As GT it’s fine As a competitive hyper GT to the 12C- we will to wait for the reviews. I’m sure it hides its weight well but better than the lower 12C with SSC and RWS? Unlikely.
In the looks department the AM is better looking than the 12C coupe. I like the 12C spider better than its coupe sibling(which I dislike as much as I want to love it but don’t )but await the Vanquish drop top to see which is nicer,

Hmm, granted I have only watched 5 or so reviews, I don't think most of them found the looks challenging. Some praised it and found it much more impressive in person, but obviously not universally loved. The exhaust is what it is, and Ferrari can't really do anything about that. Novitec can. As far as the V12 goes, it seems to sound a lot better MECHANICALLY than the 812SF/GTS. Much more interesting usage with the shorter gear ratios, getting to exploit the best sounding part: the shifts! Those are on another level. I like the interior for a modern setup. Prefer fewer screens, but it looks refreshing and new yet there are some continued aspects. With the new hot tube, I expect the coupe to sound better than the spider, as with the wind noise and the volume level, you will lose a lot of the exhaust sound.

Will the love for the new car grow fonder over time?
The lead designer is a younger man than Manzoni and the comments about its appeal to the Millennial or X Generation. Perhaps the design accurately reflects his youthful perspective ??

Any thoughts on the edgy engine tech Titanium contods? Are they more reliable or will they wear faster ?

Are finger followers, as durable as the standard 812 valvetrain?

I guess everyone hears what they want from the reviews because they seemed very positive to me. The defining comment from Rory Reid, something like “do I like it more than the 812? A lot.” And as has been confirmed on fchat, the 812 is better already than the F12 ( :D )

We’re in Italy on a roadtrip with friends. The oldest among us owns multiple Ferraris, including F12, 812 (which he brought with him) and Comp. I asked if he ordered a 12C; “of course, arrives in December!” I asked if he liked the looks and he had no idea why I was even asking the question. He loves the way it looks, even surprised why anyone wouldn’t. He will have the coupe. Though people acknowledge it’s quite different, the only people I know who dislike it are on fchat. We’re heading to an event at the factory today with other customers so maybe I’ll find some more.

if the Aston had a Ferrari v12 I would buy the Aston, other than that I would buy a prior Ferrari model. I cannot get over the fact that Ferrari created the Enzo and the la Ferrari, and this is what left the building.
this will double the production of Lamborghini's...

It’s a shame that the days of Ferraris big V12 battling Lambos big V12 are over. The 12C and Revuelto do not compete…

Ferrari is so enamored with itself it feels it competes with no one but itself. Of course the reality is McLaren ,Lamborghini, Porsche, Bentley and even Corvette(ZR1) compete for the Ferrari dollar. Ferrari continues to use its “brand” to stay above the fray, but the cruel reality is it has decided to take its classic V12 setup into heritage territory rather than take the fight to the Revuelto, it’s a shame since a performance hybrid option for the 12C would have kept it very competitive in a world of 1K hp+ hybrids and EVs . The other option would have been to go lighter- CF tub with 800+ hp would have been great as a regular production vehicle but Ferrari decided to keep those in the Icona line at a quadruple the price. Sad…
