Good find! La Rossa is a bit cringe, frankly, like LaFerrari. Imagine showing a yellow car and referring to it as La Rossa.

I would vote for F80 or 499 Speciale from that list. Even better than my guess of ‘F80 LM’, which I think would dilute the impact of the anniversary ‘F’ moniker.

This could have some relation to an article I saw on Motor1, they wrote about Ferrari filling out a patent for a upside down hydrogen powered inline 6 powered car that was published early this year

Since they have trademarked 499 GTB, 499 GTS, and 499 Speciale, I assume it's for the new SF90. We know that the new hypercar will be finished off with a series of highly limited apertas. The only trademarked names that combine the letter A (A for Aperta, I assume) are La Rossa (A) and Drake (A).

McLaren W1 declared wheelbase is 105.5”. Assuming 20” wheels on the F250, I estimate WB at about 103” so should be just as compact. It must also be pretty low as it looks quite long in comparison to height.

    Makes sense… but let’s hope F80 prevails. ;)

I'm just starting to wonder if the new SF90 will get a V6. Why would they put a V6 in their ultimate super limited hyper car flagship, but produce an unlimited V8-car available for "everyone"? But that's a discussion for another day. I don't want to get off topic.

Well. Let's hope it's something else than La Rossa.

I remember LaFerrari’s teaser pics came a month early. Now, no teaser pic in less than a week! I sense a huge shock to the automotive industry once it debuts.

I only remember seeing the ‘outline’ sketch of the LaF from the invitations shared by invitees of the unveiling. I remember doing this sketch based on that:

For this car, we have better than teaser pics, we have pictures of the actual cars, as confirmed by @Lukeylikey:

A friend who attended the event says there is a survey in the MyFerrari app for the participants to vote on the name of the car. Choice between three names, all recently mentioned in this thread.

F80, La Rossa or Drake. I think I'd vote for F80.

So, Ferrari - one of the worlds most powerful and recognisable brands - are a week away from launching their most important car in a decade and they still don't know what they're going to call it.

    Brilliant.

I kid you not. It used to be Enzo Ferrari's nick name, il Drake. Not sure what it means.

Arguably, the Purosangue has been their most important car - and that was named well before (publicly).

This is an opportunity to give clients the feeling of involvement in the product. Perfectly fine.

Enzo Ferrari was nicked named IL Drake by the British after the explorer Francis Drake who persevered through many challenging explorations, to achieve great achievements

Il Commendatore was the italian nickname which simply meant the Commander

He was called "Il Ingegnere" too, which would be a very good name for a Ferrari.

For a company that's known for being extremely meticulous and protective of its image it's not a good look in my opinion. This is the latest in a long lineage of historically significant models for the brand. A meaningful name should have been chosen years ago but instead they've placed the burden on a few clients to pick the best of a bad bunch at the very last minute.

Not one of the names in the survey.

Also would not make sense with the 2026 XX version next to the 499M; a completely different car.
