Ferrari allowed clients to decide how many SP1 and SP2 were produced. Why not allow them some input on choosing a name?
Sounds like more a Lamborghi’s rather than a Ferrari’s name! Anyway, who keep complaining about F250 not being a V12 should consider that, being an halo car, it represents the state of the state of the art for technology and innovation of today, for a car not only meant to be watched but also to be driven safely, both for the driver and the car itself (I’m referring about the fragility of the AMG One or the Valkyrie). Probably it won’t last the same time in being the best of the best, like the previous halo cars since most of the project choices have been done, for sure, to maximize the earnings, but I’m pretty sure it will be a very great piece of history for the brand and for the fans! Oh, and for those few lucky customers that will have the chance to own one, I’m pretty sure they will have one or two Maranello’s V12 in their garage in case one day the nostalgia would kick in! Wish I could have those kind of problems!
I heard they are going to put two engines into the car. One V6 for each drivetrain, front and back. No LSD needed. Now, that would be state of the art.
No laughs, great feedback, and as expected I imagine this car looks great in ‘person’, especially due to its expected (by me at least) low and wide stance. I just hope for your sake your wife wasn’t jealous. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/149828618/
This is true but, with the array of details from “sources” and random hints here and there from VIP’s, it’s really a mind crunch till reveal day. I’m loving it in a weird way. It’s like watching a great movie again to see what you missed out on once you saw the ending.
Name? Simple. Will be called: "LaManzoni." Period. Suggestions of any other name will receive the following response: "Over my dead body."
Lol When someone is too confident… A good design never needs explanation. Lets wait and see what he says.
If you think about it, Ferrari was always about putting their racing technology on the road. The Ferrari brand was always about F1 in particular. So since their F1 car and also their Le Mans racer are both having a V6 turbo, it makes sense for them to make the new hypercar with a V6 turbo engine too.
On that note, I have heard 599 F250, 30 XX (proper XX corse clienti) and 199 Spider. Production starting from 2025 till 2030.
Ferrari ‘L’éclair’ (French for lightening)—it’s electric, get it? —and sounds like the name of a certain Ferrari F1 driver! Speaking of F1 drivers… how about maybe naming it after my ‘paesano’… Villeneuve. Bugatti named one of their cars Chiron, in honour of a ‘pilot’.
To end the debate of the legitimacy of the name survey, here is a screenshot from MyFerrari Image Unavailable, Please Login
Image Unavailable, Please Login Is this an optical illusion or is the bottom of the outer diffuser really that high and aligned with the side curvature?
Given that they have included 80's vibes for this car (F40 etc.), I would be surprised if it wasn't F80. That said, Ferrari does like the name play. The picture indicates that it is just a questionnaire. Nothing more. The name will be chosen by customers only over someones dead body.
