What? Can you explain why exactly you think I implied that not liking the F80 makes anyone a "stupid person"? I made the point that this kind of reaction to a new design is something we've all seen before. A lot of people hated the Enzo when they first saw it but it grew on them over time and now they love it. The same thing happens time and time again and I believe the F80 will be no exception.

I couldn't care less if you like it or not - why would I? Some people are getting overly emotional about this car. Try to keep it together.

Well manzoni is king of mediocrity in terms of design. I quite like it better than the W1 but I will still go with Laferrari in terms of looks. I think they should ditch manzoni after the sf90 facelift. He should end his tenure with that car. I also do not like what he is doing with the roof. A car design that doesnt look good with a body colored roof is aesthetically wrong. To be brutally honest while I think the F80 looks decent compared to W1, its greenhouse looks extremely similar to the LaFerrari's. He is so unimaginative that he just browse's old ferrari photoboom and "modernize" it in his unimaginative style.

Tl;dr: F80 design is decent, average or good but it is still mediocre and manzoni needs to go. This one looks good and he should end his tenure as ferrari's head designer after the next release which is sf90 facelift.

The F80 looks better than I expected from Manzoni. It has hypercar looks and has some of the better elements of SP3, SF90 and 12C in it. Is it overwrought, yeah, in spades. Do I want one? No, give me the 296 with the same drive train (it’ll never happen) and I would take it in an instant. I would take a T50 over the F80 any day as it is more sedate (too sedate for some I know)- simple, light with a cutting edge V12 and aero. Behemoth cars like the Revuelto and Bugatti don’t interest me either, I prefer scalpels to hatchets, I guess.

That’s the exact opposite of cohesive and more like confused. But some like the overt racing elements, the swirls, swoops and flicks—especially if in ‘racy’ bare carbon fiber—which some believe constitutes good design. Like those who like the Buck Rogers/Art Deco modernist Paganis, Spykers, and such. Just warmed up old designs with extra flash and flavour of the day design elements.

Ferrari have always led in the styling arena by not standing still and rehashing old cliches. I could imagine that some of the same comments posted here would have been been uttered by naysayers back when the Daytona replaced the 275 GTB—and then went on to define design for a generation—or the BB defining the look of a mid-engine car and immediately dating the curvy Dino. Not to mention the F40 shock—an icon of 80s design and still fresh looking—after the more classic looking 288 GTO.

The F80 is as much a design statement as it is a very capable car—that doesn’t need to be driven with ear protection.

I watched Shmee on youtube take one for a spin, he uploaded it ~ 2weeks ago, if im not mistaken. Unbearable noise even through the tv speakers, shut it off after a minute or two. F80 will be quicker while being much more civilised. I understand that these vehicles are for rare occasion, but the Valkryie is too much in every way IMO. F80 much more balanced, as a proper Hypercar should be.

and how it would possible to get him fired.. Think this guy is too egoistic to listen to public opinion... If some top customers come ahead and tell Ferrari about how bad Their new designs are...

Well yes, I think so too. But that’s personal preference and others might think the engine in the F80 is better once they drive it (the lucky ones). I meant purely in terms of exclusivity.

I will give it this positive: the existence of the F80 has certainly elevated the Daytona SP3.

    What a horrible looking thing.

Luckily i already have F40, F50, Enzo and most recently the LAF in my collection on Gran Turismo 7. Their pricing should skyrocket now.
