Was not a boring race in the pack. I will take a boring Ferrari 1,2 anytime!!
Congrats Ferrari. 1-2. Can’t ask for more than that. Stewards are clearly in love with Max. He’s allowed off the track to save his place, taking off Lando at t1 and again when defending from Sainz in lap 1. But when Lando overtakes fairly and is forced off the track, he gets a penalty. So perhaps next time, he should just hold his line and let Max take them both out. Ridiculous penalty. Rookies did well today. Colapinto and Lawson excellent. And special shout out to Haas. From absolute no hopers to regular points scorers and handsomely beating the once mighty Aston Martins too. Nice job.
I would have a V6 turbo against a V12 atmo any day. The technical advantages are overwhelming. V12s were started when engineers didn't know better to get more power. New technologies made them redundant. They are only kept for esthetics, sound effect, and ... nostalgia.
So who is Perez’s benefactor, Carlos Slim? What benefit is he getting for the pesos? Is one of his companies on the cars? I don’t see how this guy’s job is justified by any objective measure.
Yep, lots of improvement at Haas. I am wondering if the new pair of drivers will be as good next year.
Probably that Carlos Slim is seen by Mexicans as supporting one of them, and that can be beneficial for his business. Just like Colapinto is bankrolled by a cartel of Argentine companies, and Brazilian banks sponsored many of their nationals in F1. These things matter a lot to many South Americans.
In this particular case, the V12 has more value. Compare the XJR-15 vs XJ220 values today and what they bring.
Just wait for the first F80 media tests.. Everything will be crystal clear for everyone about What this car represents in sportscar history.
There's the media and there's reality....reality being the collectors and their opinion. My take is, these collectors will probably frown about the design of the car as well as the powerplant. I'm quite sure the cars numbers will be quite beneficial from a horsepower advantage and track advantage but there's more to it than just numbers.
lando should have given the position back, no matter how wide max push him passing out of track is always gonna risk a penalty..its not first corner first lap mclaren and him should have think better in this
No, at that point in the race with only a couple laps remaining the odds of getting another pass attempt are diminishing rapidly. The fact Max also went way wide was a legitimate defense.
Yes! Max was completely off track as he ran Norris wide. No question. Image Unavailable, Please Login
1. wow...ferrari checked out!! Where has that team been? Keep it up! 2. WTF max doing max things and running people off the track. 3. sorry for HAM 4. stuff...
My point has to do with return on investment. I realize that Slim is fabulously wealthy but he didn’t get there by being stupid or sentimental. So when does he say, “Adios, Checo…y tú, Toro Rojo”?
Great start from the red cars. Chuck had the inside line, so pulling what Norris did in the Sprint was obvious. He didn't do Carlos any favors by pushing Sainz into the back of Max. But Carlos did his "team" stuff by harassing Max enough to let Chuck get clear of DRS range. ..... And then Ham screwed it all up. (Remind me: WHY did they want that whiner next year?) Max is a bit of a whiner, too, when he's not out front. But give the devil his due. Max did a great job of using his hybrid energy to neutralize Norris' DRS advantage. I don't think Carlos was trying to chase down Chuck. I think Leclerc got caught up getting around some back markers, which accounted for the gap change. McLaren will be second, third, and forth guessing that pass for days. Great to see a Ferrari 1-2 in the USA. Next week will be interesting. At a track over 7000 feet above sea level, aerodynamics and cooling will be issues in the thinner air.
max rubber are shot, max wont be able to hold on in the last few laps but passing any car out of track no matter what happen before that is big risk of penalty
It's more about Carlos Slim. Checo has "uber" sponsorship status not to mention the merchandise(RedBull) that sells to Mexico. I get what your saying.....Perez is underperforming on the track. What @william is saying is that Perez performs dollar-wise for RedBull....and it's huge. Anyways, this will most likely be Perez's last year with RedBull.
Product placement. Did first get red stripe, second yellow stripe, and third white stripe? With Space-X moving to Texas, will next year's trophy be a chopsticks tower?
