You're joking, right ?!?!? The LaFerrari was a piece of art, one of the best looking cars ever made. This is HIDEOUS and has a **** engine.
IMHO it is HIDEOUS yes And V6 is a failure BUT Owners don’t care, most will be kept like new or driven a very few miles and then…..after 2-3 years: SELLING OFF to Dubai etc for a nice profit money making cars……flipping
Hey, Jhonny, I admit that I gave a look to your profile page, as reading your posts here on this thread I supposed you were ten years old. But I saw you are a member since 2012, so you are at least twelve years old. I apologize for this mistake. Ciao
Wrong. Full power delivery every time, software dectects circuit for optimize the power in the corner. No need full power in the apex and in the exit of corners you need control the power this is the most difficult part to development, for everything work together. But anyway, you don’t like new technology. Ferrari should just sell 355s with Tubistyle exhausts and make more profit rather than spending money for people to criticize them.
Even if you thought it was an abomination you'd be crazy to turn down an allocation as it most certainly will, at the least, double in value by the time the grace period is up. I'd wager this was the major motivation of at least 75% of the buyers
I would like to ask you a question: do you consider the current range as a progress in terms of emotions ? I am not talking about acceleration time in a straight line but just the pleasure of the senses, because correct me if I am wrong, but a Ferrari, is it the pleasure of the senses ?
"Sold out" is such an over-used marketing term with these cars...Especially when you know how they bundle cars together in deals or they just simply don't open up unsold allocations. They may have 799 deposits on the books, but some of the "deposits" are in form of other models someone has on order and then will be sent a certain email in about 7 months about a chance to get an F80. Press releases are not always factual.
I'll say more: a sports car is something bought on emotion. It always has been. And Ferrari has always been the pinnacle of automotive emotion, not just numbers. And you can't suppress emotions with arguments of validation. Emotions are natural, never something forced. No matter how many current Le Mans the V6 turbo wins, anyone who doesn't feel excited about a V6 turbo will continue to not feel that emotion. Note that Ferrari used V6 in F1 in many years of the past decades (for example, the 156 F1 or the 126C), but Il Commendatore never built a Ferrari V6 for the "Gran Turismo" line (road cars). He only used V6 for competitions. It's important in a forum, especially FChat, which is always an excellent place, to respect the opinions of other users. Whoever wants to validate everything that this management is doing is free to do so, but they can't use adjectives against those who don't agree with it. Everyone has their own critical sense. This section is the place for people to give their opinions about the F80, as long as it is done respectfully, since it's a forum, right? The F80 will have 799 units in its coupe iteration. For it to appreciate in value (as many expect), it has to be a car desired by much more than the 799 first-buyers, since the appreciation depends entirely on the acceptance of the secondary market.
I don't think this is entirely the truth. The battery in F80 is pretty much the same size as in F1, but provides twice as much power. In F1 they still need to regulate the power over the lap. I'm quite sure the power delivery is battery limited in F80 too. Hence the power levels change depending on revs and speed. BTW, not sure if I understood you correctly, but I haven't been criticizing F80. Quite the opposite. I fancy the "miracle" V6 and other new tech in F80.
I see...multiple Ferrari owner here, and many others, but I have a differing opinion on ONE car, so I need not apply? Do you work for Ferrari corporate by chance? If not, you might want to consider it, they won't even need to supply the Koolaid. Btw, nice dig inserting 'small' in there...well done Ferrari has built some amazing cars in the modern era: 458 Speciale, TDF, LaFerrari, SP3, heck even the 296 is great...to name a few...but this car is not a looker. It 'might' perform very well, time will tell, but it's a got a face only a mother could love (or a Ferrari die-hard). The best part is, you can have a completely different opinion and IT'S OK! Imagine that...
