Who makes this model for Ferrari customers...

    After an exhaustive hunt I was able to track down the serial numbered car that came with my car. There have been several owners and I admittingly paid a small fortune for it. From what I understand; MR Collection, Looksmart and Bburago are mainly the primary vendors authorized by Ferrari to make these.

    I've seen others such as mine with the same colored base and stitching that were made by MR Collection. Is this an MR Collection car? Unfortunately there was no original box it came in but I do have the plastic cover which was removed to take a pic.

    I'm not familiar with MR Collection, but maybe there's information on the bottom of the model. If you don't see any screws in the bottom of the leather base, they probably are covered by the leather and you can feel them. To unscrew the model from the base you will have to make holes in the leather, so I don't know if that's something you want to do.

    Edit: looking again at the base, even the screws might be hidden by the lower part of the base. You certainly don't want to separate the two halves of the base! Sorry I can't help.

    I am sure it says on the bottom of the model who made it, but MR Collection is the most likely source. Definitely not Hot wheels but the other three manufactures have about the same quality. You risk damaging the model if you try to remove from the base.

    Correct. I'm not willing to poke holes in the bottom to undo the screws. Fairly confident at this point it is MR Collection.

    It´s MR , they are the official supliers to Ferrari, same as for Lamborghini. MR and Looksmart models are under teh same umbrella, but MR is the more "exclusive" version.

    maybe slide a thin mirror underneath the model to see who the mfg. is.

    With that style of base with the metal nameplate it's going to be MR.
