Yellow calipers are the best with blue cars, but one of the best match on red Ferraris, they match the Scudetto with prancing horse and the Modena theme well.
Black calipers for the XX ;)

The problem is that even though there is more than one approach, the Icona series is a line of only one car (at a time), and extremely limited.
So, currently, there is only one Icona model in production, and three lines of turbo-hybrids and their variations, an SUV, two future EVs.
It would be better if the Icona series had two models at a time, more protagonism: one with lower production, and another with more production volume: one in the SP3 category, V12, lower production volume (~250/year), and a rear N/A V6 (an F163 without the turbos/hybrid), ~550 hp, a smaller and lighter berlinetta, higher production (~650/year).

So, while this regulatory madness exists, Icona could be an independent company, but using the Ferrari nomenclature (just as the Valkyrie carries the Aston Martin name), producing less than 1,000 cars/year, perhaps even divided between two models as I mentioned above, without having sound restrictions.

I wonder how somebody can be worried about a 3.6M Euro supercar sound: with one thousand less money my friends Fausto Lettieri (Lettieri Technology) and Fabio Fiammenghi (Fiammenghi Exhausts) will fit to that car an inconel full race exhaust with every kind of ECU trick emulators, so you will have a race car exhaust sound. Where is the problem? I think that 95% of the complaints about this F80 I read here are nonsenses written by who hasn't the possibility nor the allocation to buy it. I can understand that somebody can't be satisfied by the styling as everyone has his own taste, but the car is great and definitely deserves to belong to the winning Ferrari hypercar streak, as it's car that shows a massive usage of present day Formula 1 and LMH championships technologies and aerodynamics: It looks that many here forgot that this car is not too far from the car who won Le Mans 24h only one year ago.

    You spelled FXX wrong.

I had both, drove both a lot (6,600kms in K Evo) kept that one.

Mugello, May 2024, Ferrari challenge: I was there, I took the video and I liked the sound of the 700 HP model of the V6. F80 has a 900 Hp upgrade.

And then it will definitely sound much better than a Rimac Nevera and company...

Well, the FXX is the first love, sound is still without equal, even among GT1 cars, it has a resonance frequency out of this world. FXX-K Evo may be more refined in my mind, but the FXX original V12 sound has something brutal and old school in a very good way.
About style, both are beautiful, as is the 599 XX Evo. I find the K more elegant and the FXX more GT1 esque. Love them.

Yes I am one of those critics, will not be a future owner (at least in the short term). While I love how it moves the needle forwards in powertrain and aero, the styling is not commensurate, imo. When compared with past lineage, the Laferrari design was completely new (aside from the 458 esque lights). Same with Enzo, F50, F40. They all looked like nothing else before. Only 288 GTO looked similar to 328 GTB but that was before the supercar lineage was well defined.

But with the F80 so much is borrowed from recent releases it looks like a horrible mishmash. Same outer front fender from SF90XX, same black bar from 12C, same rear exhaust from 296, same overemphasized rear tire bumps as SP3. Headlights are also not anything special.

This also detracts from the aero execution as all the breaks in the bodywork will disrupt the ideal airflow.

How many people see the car in real life in this forum ???
I will only consider the comments from people who have actually seen it. For the rest, I close the lid and flush the toilet.

Unless you are an aerodynamicists, that is an unsubstantiated claim. The aero work on this car is amazing.

This article gives much more technical info of the engineering acheivement represented by this car, wheres the website is very streamliend and cut from the full presentation.
It may not make appreciate more the look, but at least it makes many things more understandable, and finlly it clairfies why all invited people to the private preview said the F80 to be on another level concerning vehicle dynamics and technical achievement compared to competitors.

They put so much effort in it, on all features and characteristics, the only limiting point being batteries not yet at solid state.
I think the car is much faster and drivable then anything else on the road, and XX will be on GTE levels with more than F1 power.
