812 Comp was only offered to Ferrari Tier 3 clients and above. 296 VS is available to tier 2. Comp was numbers, 296VS won't be.

Interesting. I wonder what the requirements are per client tier?

At the moment I start to wonder if I even want one. I feel we came to a point that the previous cars are just cooler and better. Hmmm...

How do you know that the 296 VS spider will not have numbers?
    It's all wild speculation.

SF 90 is a great car in terms of performance and design, the 296 VS will not be faster.

I hope it'll have elements from 296 Challenge (front bonnet) and 296 GT3 (side mirrors and vents).

    The F80 being a V6 lends the 296 a little more cred, I'd think.

They have a surprisingly complicated CRM system that measures a lot of data about what cars you have right now, cars on order and what you've spent at Ferrari dealers in the past. Also the number of service appointments, buying warranty, whether you've done events like Corso Pilota or Cavalcade or Casa Ferrari, participate in Challenge racing program, etc. "VIP" indicates that you've bought multiple Ferraris [and/or have cars on order], could be at least five Ferraris owned simultaneously, and that you're actively servicing, buying and participating in activities through your dealership.

Really makes me wonder how shmee got an sf90xx allocation when he only had 2 Ferraris on hand at that time

    That’s actually VERY REASONABLE speculation.

The Pista Coupe and Spider were both limited only by time of production run, not by finite number. So they could always squeeze a few more out if they wanted to and generally these type of VS editions are made in roughly double the quantity of number limited series.

Yeah why would they allocate a car to the Number 1 social media automotive influencer on the planet? lol

I mean the Hamilton collection had a better portfolio yet he was pissed that he didn't got to buy whatever he wanted

The number one criteria to get considered for the SF90 XX was to have a current SF90, you also have to keep that SF90 until the SF90XX is delivered.
It is not that he is an influencer, it’s that he is a consistent customer who orders new cars and keeps multiple Ferraris at once. He has his SF9o and 296GTS, and I thought he has a Lusso. Plus, he’s talked about having other cars on order, I thought he said he had a 12 Cilindri coming. Combine that with doing other Ferrari related events, getting service at his dealership, buying warranties, etc. would fill out his profile.

Given the F80 has a V6 putting out over 800hp by itself it leads me to think there is room to grown in the 296...maybe the VS. Given the SF90XX maintained a hybrid system I also believe the same will carry over to the 296VS no reason they wouldn't.

I'm going with 700hp for the V6 and 200 for the e-motor, a nice round 900 and rear drive only would be perfect in my eyes!

SF90 about to be replaced. that one will start at 750k. the VS will start at where a fully optioned 296 ends- about 520. based on my car i can see ferrari has ways of adding downforce and suspension changes to afford great grip even with 920 hp. its going to obliterate the ring time. i est 6:45.

It depends how much aero they are gonna add, if they keep it lower than SF90 XX, it cannot be too extreme...but 6.45 with proper driver is feasible on 296 VS.
About Nurburgring lap time, would be cool to see De Simone pushing F80 there, but don't think they'll do, still haven't officially released Fiorano video for it.

I was told by 3 dealers that the criteria for the VS is more restrictive vs the Pista due to projected demand. You will need a 296 in your garage along with 2-3 other Ferraris. The dealer decides who gets the 296VS...

I think they need to produce big numbers of the VS here, anyone who bought a 296 and has swallowed the depreication hit on the basis of getting a VS will most likely be irritated at the brand if they don't get one
