I don't know, the option is not on my price list. Waiting for a response from the dealer.

Been away a bit because busy with work. 28 pages later...

Done mine, initially went black but decided to break my own rules about red front engined cars and go for Imola on this one. Just so pretty.

Painted shields, no exterior carbon, all the interior carbon and the under-bonnet carbon + all the tech. Pricelist has this at just shy of £80k in options. Didn't pick a big boy color because I'm debating keeping this car vs. trading it for a Speciale if it doesn't settle right with me. I also have an order in for a TM Spider much down the line so I think I'll get a bit silly with that one if I do really like the car.

Well done. I think that’s a smart, economical spec. Invest for the most pop (special color, painted shields), but restrained where it doesn’t matter quite as much (an increasingly endless amount of exterior carbon options). This is the way.

Have you considered the Tailor Made "Rosso 1000GP" color?

It's a dark red (but it always looks pure red), very beautiful, solid, with great depth, and it changes a lot depending on the light (but, I repeat, it's always pure red).

It's a tribute to Ferrari 1,000th F1 GP, a truly special and timeless red.

This would undoubtedly contrast with the delta, because even though it's dark, it's always red, and also because of the depth of the paint.

I just got the word from my dealer. It looks like I will get one of the five they will be getting in a few months. I need to update the specs soon, but I have to consider resale, so I will choose a safe option, Rosso Corsa and Beige Tradizione. I also have a spider on order, but I am told it will be a year later. I plan on a nice spec for that one since I will probably keep it for a few years.

So I did a deep dive on this color. I’m very interested in going this direction with my pending Coupe. It seems super rare and unique. With the available online resources, it’s hard to tell what it really looks like under natural light. Here’s what I have found so far.

(Rosso 1000 GP starts at 12:17 mark in the video)

I wonder how much different this color is to Rosso Mugello. I believe RM is a flat paint, while Rosso 1000 GP is a multi-layer? I reached out to my dealer and he has requested a sample from Ferrari.

Like it as the darker paints help to blend in with the black elements. I'm considering black and curious of whether grigio scuro would create more of a dull effect.

It was around 60% of the cost of equivalent carbon on the Roma Spider. Expensive for sure but still significantly less than carbon.

To me it's not really about the cost, more the aesthetic you are going for and what makes sense for the car/spec.

I am a strong believer that if you spec carbon, you go full carbon. Especially on exterior. On interior you need to go full upper, lower or all of it. Doing one off bits here and there break a cohesive and coherent look.

I also think certain cars just don't make sense to add carbon, especially in more elegant or classic colors. A Pista without full carbon seems "off", just as a Celeste Trevi RS with full carbon seems equally "off" (to my eye).

That's why I think Ferrari is smart to offer the painted options with a few color choices. You can dress up the cheap looking grey plastic while keeping a more classic aesthetic and maintaining the appeal (and potential resale) of an unmodified factory spec (eg not covering the plastic bits in colored PPF).

My conviction in this is such that I spent extra money (in addition to the cost of the carbon wheel/paddles) to get the LED wheel with leather inserts and aluminum paddles instead of carbon, as I didn't want carbon anywhere on the RS due to my spec.

Just my point of view, I'm sure others think I'm a fool. To each their own!

I don't think it's 60% of the cost instead of carbon fiber as on the 12C, it's around 80%.

I configure my 12 C round about three month ago. I pay 12.000 for black painting instead of round about 35.000 for carbon.

It's way higher in the US as my number was $25k and carbon at $34k, excluding mirrors and air vents.

I can't believe they're charging $25,000 for the painting. Are you sure? Did you get this information from Ferrari or your dealer? Normally, the prices in France and the USA are nearly the same. Of course, U.S. prices are usually higher, but this difference—just for the color—is extreme.

Absolutely sure, as I was at the dealership last week and thought the black glossy finish would look more integrated with the other glossy elements. But $25k is over the top when my Benz S580 night package, which is the same black glossy elements, is less than $1k.

    That‘s weird, mine says PPE1 €15.582,- + 19% VAT = €18.542,58
Seems that every dealer is calculating an own price for that or maybe they taking into account the PPAC option.
My price guide Is not showing PPAC but I can see it in the app under my waitlisted 12 Cilindri.
