Long time lurker (member since 2007), first time owner. Been through a few cars but finally bought my first Ferrari (and my first red car). I picked up one of the CS's from Ryan Friedman and was delivered 2 days ago. This one has the Modena Lucerna manual conversion. Only had the chance for a little bit of seat time so far, but just wow. Hope to get it out for an extended drive this weekend.

Very nice! I bought that same center console for my CS and just am wrapping up my Modena Lucerna conversion on mine. Can't wait. Enjoy the ride!

 

Congratulations! Love the blue interior. What's the story there?

 

Car originally the usual red/black alcantera. Prior owner saw @650kid 's car with the blue alcantara seats at Universal and wanted the same thing done. Had the manual conversion completed as well but for reasons unknown to me, sold the car shortly after. Still had the red lower dash when I bought it but had that redone to match the seats. Voilà!

 

Bellisima! Blue seats have such a history in motorsport, it's the perfect match for this beauty.

How does https://www.challenge-stradale.com/ get and vet it's data?
How reliable is it regarding stripes?

 

I get all the data from owners, sellers (via ads on AutoScout24, Mobile, AutoTrader, Dupont, Ebay etc), from Ferrarichat, Modis Ferrari db etc. Basically it's just a big database of all information I can find online and what is emailed to me by owners and car spotters.

Regarding the stripes, I have three options in the registry:
Stripe (aftermarket) = when I know for sure the car has an aftermarket sticker stripe, for example when the car was first photographed without a stripe and later with a stripe
Stripe (factory) = when I know for sure the car has a factory stripe (confirmation from owner or from option list)
Stripe (???) = when I don't know for sure if it's an aftermarket stripe or factory stripe

But I think it's fair to say that you should always double-check everything yourself just to be sure (like confirm it at an official Ferrari dealership). By the way I just started working on the registry again after a long break. I hope to do more regular updates now

Current seller says they know the owner in Japan after the car came from Europe and claim it’s not a factory stripe car.

Ferrari Vancouver could only see outside color options and couldn’t confirm stripe. I still don’t know the “truth” after trying pretty hard to find out.

Seller claims they have just reapplied an aftermarket stripe again to hide a paint blemish after removing the stripe to paint correct the car.

I gave up on it after the seller cancelled my booked PPI at Ferrari and pulled some hard sell BS.

Why do people not include the leather key fob covers? Even that one at 3,700 miles should have it.

Anyone have bubbling on the upper dashboard near the gauge cluster hump? I saw a CS for sale here in Japan and noticed this when inspecting the car. Is this common? I'll take some pics when I test drive the car tomorrow.

That being said, what are people paying for upper dash to be reupholstered?

 

All this 'one of x' bollocks really winds me up. Oh yeah actually we mean it's actually 1 of 4 only black cars with a red interior and with a stripe and with this little scratch on the centre console right here.

It's black. WGAF.

 

I'm sure you know Curated has a very specific type of clientele. Collector more so than driver. Can't flex your collection or flip for a hefty profit if your cars aren't a 1 of X.
