No, we are very happy with our Brits in France because they usually love our culture, history, gastronomy even if they are permanently bashing this country ( this is typically a French behavior either);):D

Max has done it before in 2016 going from P16 to P3 and almost spun the car 2x while doing it.

He did waaaay better today than in 2016.

    Yes, remarkable is an understatement.

Any word on the 15 or so cars that can’t follow rules on aborted start?

Nothing yet but I'm keeping an eye on it. They sure are taking their sweet @$$ time.

Leclerc should move up the grid and gain some points should the penalties of the drivers before him be substantial.

There are many Brits here in Burgundy, many are my friends, but they have far more respect for France, they, unlike someone here, understand you should show a certain level of loyalty to your HOST country.

When I lived in England 1986-89 I soon understood that despite the many UK flaws they had no sense of humor about any critical comment and still thought they ruled the world LOL...except my University professor landlord Alan, who said "We Anglo Saxons were still running around in the woods when you were already civilized."

I don't even show any loyalty to my own country !! I am liberated from such narrow-minded nationalistic concept.

To be honest, I think that Max winning under normal conditions with the RB car as it is now is more or less as unlikely as a double podium for Alpine.
With the McLaren, the Ferrari and the Mercedes typically faster than the RB currently, it needs special conditions even for Max to be able to win.

Do you know which drivers may have penalties? All I heard during the race that Russell will most likely have one and will move Charles to 4th.

Saw that earlier....Max calling out the British press and their biasness.....GOOD FOR HIM AND MAKING IT PUBLIC.

A slap in the face to the British press.

Russell, Ocon, Norris, both Mercedes drivers from off the top of my head.

I don't think Ocon was involved, what I read for the aborted start were drivers Norris, Russell, Tsunoda and Lawson, while the Mercedes are investigated for adjusting tyre pressures.

Absolutely outstanding drive from Max today. After yesterday Max's lead was just 45 points, and was looking to lose at LEAST 10 points today, ensuring the title would likely go to Abu Dhabi. 1 DNF would pretty much end his hopes for a title. After this frankly amazing performance he can now with the title in Vegas if he loses less than 2 points to Norris. If he finishes ahead of Norris, Max is champion. Before the race started there was talk here and elsewhere that a win for Norris here would make his title claim more valid...Max completely turned the entire narrative on it's head.

Norris fumbled so many times today it's unreal. Every single start/restart. Fell off the track multiple times. Even post race daring to call this drive "lucky", what a shame.

No fan of Alpine but so, so happy for the whole team. They do deserve this.

Max has no chill lol. Really put them in their place haha.

Absurd post, you've just described all F1 drivers, Max is no different.. let's hear any of the other drivers speak their mind on a regular basis..

Today’s race was decided by weather and flags. It’s an incredible gift to have teams run a race without a pit stop like that. Interesting to watch though…

Lmao! Savage troll level 1,000!!! :D

Love him or hate him his blunt honestly keeps things interesting. No denying he put on a master class today.

The press and the FIA are making a mistake trying to make an example out of him. Yes, punish him appropriately but then let it die without talking about it nonstop like it’s a crusade.

Max has a fighter mentality. Pushing him only makes him focus and fight harder.

WDC is over. Norris needed to make inroads today, and he just couldn't make it happen. I expect Max to clinch in Vegas.

WCC is a big ask for Ferrari at this point. McLaren will have to have a DNF or two for the window to open up. The points Ferrari lost with the double DNF in Canada and Leclerc's Silverstone disaster are going to come back to haunt them, as that's where they lost the championship.

OTOH, second in the WDC is very much opening up for Leclerc right now.
