I’m sure they are well aware that changing pressures are not allowed. Let’s start bashing Merc for being in bed with FIA. Oh and Mclaren too. Where is Landos penalty? He deserves one after all the max penalties (sone of his own fault) lando has been a little to cocky as of late.

I don't think that the drivers who "jumped" the aborted start will be penalized. There seemed to be a lot of confusion and it seemed that communications was rather sketchy at the time as to what procedure was to be followed.

It seemed to me that Verstappen's climb thru the field was largely ignored by the TV coverage. After the start, the next time I saw Max, he was already up to 4th! How did he get there? I don't recall them showing it.

I missed the start of the race. But what I saw today was max showing real talent. This is what a champion does. The last few prior races showed his desperation as a bully with very poor racecraft. I hope we see today's Max going forward. He really is something to watch when he is really on it.

The million dollar question is if Max jumped the start what would they have done?

I hate all the rule nonsense (let them race) but if they are going to have rules they need to be enforced all the time, evenly. Otherwise are they really rules?

No further action for Tsunoda leaving the grid during the aborted start.

The wording suggests Norris won't get the same outcome, though #F1 #BrazilGP

"In the opinion of the Stewards although the driver breached the regulation this was influenced by the driver ahead of him and as such he was not predominately responsible for the breach"

    -------

My guess is 10 second penalty for Norris and probably 2 pts, but 10 seconds is irrelevant because he was 10.6 seconds ahead of car behind.

Well, I was wrong with what I thought was going to be a very light/irrelevant penalty. It's even less than that:

Reprimand and €5000 fine for Norris for the aborted start infringement. Result stand

    Genuinely amazing.

I'm not advocating for a crazy penalty, I just want consistency. For F1 and penalties, it really does look like your passport matters.

Frankly it looks like the Stewards have simply Had Enough of today, and rather than cause a bunch more noise and controversy simply decided to punt on all the post-race procedural stuff.

The start procedure is such a clear cut infringement that it could've easily been handled during the race.

But it's ok, Max did all the damage that needed to be done already.

I honestly don’t get all the hoo-rah around Norris’s penalty. I think Russell got the same one. The other two drivers who left early received no penalty because they were “influenced” (clutching my pearls….aren't they responsible for their own actions? “Mom, he made me do it” never worked for me ;)). Did Russell and Norris gain an advantage? Should they have had points taken away, seconds added to their finishing positions, future grid penalties? Is there a prescribed penalty in the rules for that infraction?

FWIW, I also loaded a new Dish program guide in the wee hours, and it retained the same out-of-date information.
The updated information was on ESPN's web site.
But ESPN's web site didn't mention the pre-race show.
Dish's program guide has been notably unreliable for some time.

Good thing I set manual timers for the ESPN information.
After chasing this half the night, I slept through the first half hour of quali and the first hour of the race.
There were so many red flags in quali, I was able to catch up to real time watching from the start. ;)

    Rain and Pirellis: Chaos ensues.

Gamble on setting up the car for a wet race, and then have your crew all doing a rain dance. ;)
If it'd been dry, though, they might have been fighting with Zhao. :p

Ignoring Lando's extremely dangerous high speed re-entry from one, or 2 off his off's tells the truth. If that had been Max..... etc
