You're here, fellow FChatter, so you must love Ferraris. Tell us about your favorites!

Not that I have any power to enforce them, but here are my proposed ground rules for the thread:
    • Try to pick five(ish) favorites.
    • Race cars and road cars are all fair game.
    • If you choose only vintage Ferraris, list separately a favorite modern car, and vice versa. (You get to decide what defines vintage vs modern.)
    • Emphasis on design here, but it's OK for your feelings to be colored by the mechanicals too!
    • Photos and personal anecdotes encouraged, but not required.
    • Only positive vibes!
      • Discussion is encouraged, but no criticism of others choices, please. This is an entirely subjective exercise. There are no wrong answers.
      • No "least favorite" lists, please.
    Let the fun begin!

My top 2 are the ones I own: 328 GTs and California T.

The 1964 250 LM is a top design for me. Also the 1967 330 P4.

    For the 5th, the 499P.

But there's a huge list of them. In no particular order, let's add the F40, F50, 599, high-mirror Testarossa, and the Maranello as a top 10.

Those are beauties! Don't often see 328s in that color. Suits it very nicely.

    365 GTB/4 (it should not have wire wheels ;)) , 288 GTO, 250 GT SWB, 456 GT, 355 GTB
... only based on looks, other criterias would lead to different results.

I didn't post a 275GTB, it's a365GTB which I believe is the Daytona, but happy to be proved incorrect.

Trevor you are correct, I was agreeing with all of your choices with the exception of the 365 GTB/4 (unofficial nickname Daytona). I prefer the 275 GTB variants (esp. 275 GTB/4 and 275 GTS/4) to the Daytona. Also I think that the last Enzo-era Ferrari that looks proper on Borrani wheels is the 365 GT 2+2; for Daytona it is Campys all the way IMO.
    Cheers!

Sorry @375+, I clearly misunderstood you. Put it down to a transatlantic communication breakdown. ;)

These came to mind immediately, but truthfully there are a lot of gorgeous Ferraris from the '60s.

    250 GT SWB
365 GTS/4 (Daytona Spyder) -- Maybe my all-time favorite car design; must have the five-spoke wheels.
308 GTB/GTS -- Even better than the 206/246, IMHO. European spec. Wedge and perfect curves in the same timeless package.
    288 GTO

SF24 F1 car -- Not sure it's a sculptural icon, but it is the ultimate in form following function. To me that contributes to aesthetic appeal.

A lot of representation from the 1960s so far. (Not that I disagree!)

I wonder how much that says about that era vs bias in our sample. :D
