My worst experience with autocorrect was when I was writing an email to a Maserati club president in Europe.

I wrote dear Mr and his name, which began with S and ended with e....
One nanosecond before I pushed the SEND button I noticed that autocorrect had somehow changed his name to...Swine:eek:! He was quite a pompous guy so it would have been a disaster but I caught it in time!

    Hi Ivan,
Thanks, I filled the case with heated AGIP LSX 75W-90 to the port, which was right about the specified 3.3liters.
The prior oil was filled by Dave and Carter, I was pleasantly surprised how clean it still was for being 12 years old.

I have a small dent in the center of the stainless roof. I think one of those pointless dent repair peeps could fix it but I’m wondering how to remove the headliner without destroying it. Is it glued to a car or directly to the roof?

    Hello Dean,

on my vehicle, the stainless steel roof element was detached from the body and if I remember correctly,
the headliner was glued on the stainless steel roof element from underneath.
In the picture you can see it from below. In the picture the stainless steel roof is just placed on the vehicle body.
If your dent is not too sharp, the hail damage professionals can also repair such dents from the outside.
They stick something on the dent, pull it out a little too far and then tap the dent back down into shape.
However, it is important to find a really good hail damage mechanic.
From my own experience, i know that there are big differences between the skills of the individual mechanics.

    Good luck

    Kind regards from Germany

thank you for quick reply. I doubt I can find a hail damage person in Florida :( but we do have very good paintless dent repair people. I think I would have to remove that headliner however. I can call the fellow I used for dent repair in the past and see if they are able to work on it. Thanks again!

    Hello Dean,

maybe I expressed myself wrong. In Germany we call these people hail damage professionals but it is the same as PDR (P)aintless (D)ent (R)epair).
They repair all kinds of dents (from small to large) on vehicles. I know several here in Germany and the Czech Republic and it is very important to find someone who is really good at it. I have had people who promised me a lot and in the end the result was horrible but I also know really very very good ones and as I said,
it may even be possible to repair the dent from the outside.

I wish you the best of luck

    Kind regards

    Zdenek

I thank you once again. I just had four dings removed from my BMW expertly without a trace. I'll ring that guy up and see if he can fix my roof without removing the headliner. fingers crossed.

Is there a way to display this so that you don't go into all of this mandatory answering about security options. It's all in German and frankly not worth fighting with. I can't see what you're talking about.

Is the headliner glued directly to the bottom of the stainless? Is it likely to be destroyed if peeled off, or can just be glued back on? Thanks again.

I called the guy, it is like on the pictures, no additional parts available. There are a lot of parts missing: doors, interior, headlights, … probably difficult to get this parts. But it is only one hour from me.

My guess is yes. I doubt that it will survive removal. I believe the material is available but look before you leap. There's a guy on here from Australia I think, might be New Zealand who did a gorgeous restoration of his Bora. It's probably the best in the world. Ask him where he got it. Getting the new piece in there might be a challenge as I don't know if the material doubles in function as a vibration isolator between the roof and the frame. The SS roof does come off with a million little screws.

Save yourself and pass on this car. I'm not sure there is a worse car to do that much restoration on with so little return on your investment. other than an Espada I doubt there's a worse lira pit out there.
    I own both of them.
