F1 Gearbox issue

Hi there,
I'm having some issues with my car. When I start the engine, the gearbox is in neutral (N) but the car still tries to move forward. The hotter the engine gets, the more it happens. I also have trouble shifting into N-1 and 2-1 gears sometimes.

I do not know if this is related or not but all the valves on the f1 pump were replaced with new original ones, after that they blooding the pump, the fitting at the top on the frame, but they did not blooding the solenoids themselves, which are on the box

There were no errors in TCU, only later when I was home i trying to change the PIS and calibrate the gears at some point, the gearbox hung in N and i have the hum of solenoids, then I got error 1775
Could you please help me figure out what might be causing this issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

At the very least, it sounds like your PIS is way too tight. But the may be much more going on here. Do you have a diagnostic tool with which you can read codes, see data streams, and perform actuations?

the car in gear does not move, but the car tries to move in NEUTRAL gear when the engine starts, after engine starting all fine.

What diag tool do you have

 

If it thinks it's in Neutral (N is displayed), and the gearbox is actually in gear (it moves when you try to start the car), then the actuator or sensor is the culprit.

 

What kind of sensor are we talking about?

 

Why would it move ?
Before enabling the starter motor the TCU opens the clutch. Even if the car is actually in gear it should not move during cranking with a clutch open.

Best way to know if the car is in gear while displaying N is to try to push it by hand.

 

if the gear had been enabled, the car would have gone after engine start, but I only feel small tremors with the amplitude of the piston movement, and after starting the car stands still and is really in neutral gear, although if left on for a long time on idle rpm it can moving the car with vibration again.


Do you know what it looks like? as if on a car with a manual transmission, press the gearbox shifter without pushing the clutch, the effect will be similar

 

Is it a valve leak or air in the system? the clutch is not fully squeezed?

 

Your clutch wear index (1619) is very low. It should be at 3000-4000. Try to increase your PIS at 4.5mm to see how the car behave and how the clutch wear index change.
Also, your clutch electrovalve is starting to leak significantly (60 cc/min when activated). To be monitored ...

 

I changed from 4 to 5, the index does not change, only everything below 4.3 the car moves at gear, at everything above 4.3 has a very long delay when starting

once upon a time I had 120cc min and the car running fine. The problem is that now I have lost the 1st gear, I just can't turn it on, only the 2nd with difficulty, and the car does not pass the self test from special functions.

I also noticed a very low level of F1 oil, it is not clear where it went, but I filled it to normal, but there were no changes
I also noticed that when the car is at N I sometimes get push forward, short push forward 2-3 per minute

 

Without starting the engine, are you able to select all gears, with the paddles or with the tool ?
Record for each gear you can get the value of the selection and engagement potentiometers.

Also, with car in N at idle, check how stable is the clutch in the full open position.

 

Yes, I tried through the tool, everything turned on except the 6th

No, with a CS TCU you should be able to select all gears when engine is not running.

In N, the gearbox is not supposed to transfer any significant torque to the wheels ... whatever the clutch position is. Same as a manual car, in N the car does not move whatever the clutch pedal is depressed or released.

How can the car move ? Only torques which could go through the gearbox in N are due to oil viscosity, this one is too low to move the car ... or due a bad bearing on one gear which is able to transfer enough torque even if the synchro is not engaged. Weird !

Record the 2 values for each gear, that will tell if you have an issue with the potentiometers.

 

I agree with Eric ..let's confirm but based on the sample video the potentiometers need replacement

So... i open the TCU log with the potentiometers and start sorting through the gears? Correct?

 

yes, I did it when I changed the clutch or changed the PIS everything going well but now I can't do it, it doesn't go beyond second gear
