Ok as always sorry to bring up the unmentionable topic of money and value, but given the price hike from the LF (essentially raising the coat of the F80 to where the LF is trading), I’m interested to see what the values do.

Only thing I have heard is a friend being offered a delivery contract for $500k.

I wonder how a market cap of around $3.2bn compares to the other supercars.

I'm confused also ( not that I'm playing in this game ) - so if Ferrari picked you to get one, the dealer calls and says for $500,000 extra, you can have an F80 ?

I think it's for the 2nd market..if you got one, you are selling your order for 500k premium.

Ferrari have left absolutely no money on the table for secondary market with this one! Especially in light of how "well" the car is generally being received.

I agree with this. The reason to buy the F80 might be if you have all the others and you have to complete the set. If you had none of them, what order would you buy them in? There is definitely an argument to say the F80 will have no premium at all. I hope that’s not the case for Ferrari because some of the TOP clients only play the game to make money on the limited cars, but if prices are so high that game doesn’t work any more, then sales of all the other cars will suffer too.

If I had none of the super cars, I would buy them in this order of priority …

In fact, I predict it won't be long before somebody will be making a business out of converting la Ferraris to be non-hybrid, similar as we see 575's and 599's getting manual 6 speed conversions.

Why risk the warranty issues and do this? Besides, engine characteristic and weight distribution matters if you take out hybrid.
I see no point of benefit. Will harm the value of the car.

That would be a terrible idea. The car is optimised around the hybrid system and is much better because of it. A LF (Aperta) without hybridisation already exists (the SP3) and is a worse driver's car than the LF.

Totally agree, can’t see a single car being converted to non-hybrid. Why would you spend a fortune to make it drive worse and worth less? Maybe someone might do it on an SF90 because the value is much less but I don’t even think then there would be much point.

Well, technically we will be in that position. Not saying that the F80 will be the best car (but maybe I will end up thinking that) but we could well have an F80 in the garage and none of the others - which of course means we could buy any of the others if we wanted to. We always end up selling cars that we didn’t order from new and tend to keep special/TM cars that we did order from new, to our own one-of-one spec. There are a thousand separate reasons why people choose different cars, why they keep some and not others, different themes behind what ends up in their garage. The only two exceptions to our first-owner preference currently are a F512M and a 930 Turbo LE which are both brilliant examples of what was great about the two historic brands that are my favourite. The Ferrari has a flat 12 directly linked to F1 with a gated manual and looks striking and iconic. The 930 is the original 911 Turbo, race derived with huge power for the time and again an iconic form follows function body. Both cars are wonderful and keep me connected to the historic past of these brands where all the other cars we own are one-owner, the exception being our LaF which we will likely sell in favour of the F80 for the reasons explained above.

I am all for everything new.
Buy new and drive the hell out of it until warranty ends and store it in garage.
F80 will be the same as well. I can only get older and life is too short. I don.t see a point of worrying the depreciation. Time is more valuable than anything. I will enjoy while I can, fully. So, I understand logic of selling LaF for F80. Once you know how it is, then it is also logical to move on to next best. You will not drive that much either. At least this is my case. Once I am done driving like 5 years, no matter how often or not, I don’t tend to drive anymore. Maybe twice a year…

F80 the difference is the price. It is too expensive a Ferrari road car for certain situations like drive to the mall and park there kinda things. But it is also a joy of owning exotic cars.

Besides, time wears the fear factor of breaking things. I drive my Chiron where ever I want which is now 4 years old. So it will be roughly the same with F80.

It's your choice and it's therefore respectable, but even trying to analyze I can't understand how you can sell a V12 Kers against a V6 TT hybrid... It's a strange thing for me:D
