Let’s hope it looks better than the ghastly pista piloti, I couldn’t wait to sell mine.

 

Not sure what the data is to support any special valuation for a pista piloti, a 400 mile car just sold at Bonhams for $580k

 

I just think it would look horrible on this model.

 

It does look good on the race car so it might work.

 

Just too classic a shape for a wing. But some aggression would be welcome if it’s tasteful.

Agree. 296VS adopting any of F80's design cues would be unfavourable for the model, particularly the black bandage on the nose, carried over from 12C.

I thought SF90XX looks quite good considering what they had to work with. Some may say it's a bit busy but it does match the ethos of a track focused car even if it really isn't.

 

Any feedback on the new car at this stage?

 

Not yet. It’s great. But I need some more time for a worth while review.

 

I do think the side mirror arms could be a little more thinner. I love the ones on its GT3 version. Or even how Aston Martin does their arms now.

Great. This puts to bed the speculation that the 296 VS was not to be hybrid.

 

Which Rosso is this? Looks beautiful, congrats!

Ah! Lovely, my 458 was Rosso Maranello. Incredible colour, looks great on the 296 shape.

 

I hope the car dont have the hybrid system, would be great if possible to have the same HP as the F80 engine but no hybrid

 

it would be a dream if it used an engine derived from the F80 with the same horsepower less the hybrid

 

Obviously some sort of rendering but if the VS restyle looks anything like this, the rear spoiler definitely works!

 

That clip is a waste of time , they cannot even get the voice over to match the actual rendering . Tey describe the rear lights as slim horizontal , the lights on the render are 458/88 , as is much of the other features

 

Agree the vid is by and large garbage. What i found appealing was the 3/4 front side angles showing the venting and sculpting of the side area of the body. It looks curvaceous. The rear end shots were clearly more F8 oriented as was the crappy shot taken from dead side on. I think the current 296 body lends itself to some very nice improvements if the design team put their minds to it, and refrain from using cues from the most recent polarising designs of 12c and F80 which both need to be cauterised.

 

It will be a hybrid. The mules are already on the road with the requisite warning stickers.

 

296 turns in better than any car I've ever driven. The SWB is amazing. It just darts. Wow. The VS is going to be something else.

 

Yes it is amazing how good the front end is amd how well it turns in.

Do you guys think the spider version will be launched with coupe version? What version should I go for?

 

Good question. Also I wonder will the criteria be different for the VS GTS and GTB?
