In my search and eventual purchase, yes, I saw the exact same thing, and also trying above MSRP in September on the high specs. Did they sell at msrp or above, maybe but I doubt it, given my research. Just as I was pulling the trigger on my 23 a dealer called me with a smoking deal on a brand new 24 with msrp of 419k and they were "shocked" I was not interested at 50k over . I never saw it hit the open market so who knows maybe they found the person who wanted that exact high spec.

 

419k isn't much of a "high" spec anymore, especially with the bump in paint prices. There can be a large gap on exactly identical 2023 and 2024's. A 419k 2024 is probably lucky to get 380k-ish right now, to be honest. If the dealer got 50k over that's incredible.

 

Was your buyback demand a "make whole"? ie--purchase price, sales tax and tag fees?

 

Yes. Process almost complete, expecting it today or tomorrow.

 

I am really happy for you that this entire process can finally have some closure.

That said, you deserves so much better.

 

Disappointingly bad experience. Hope you get full restitition. Ferrari should operate better.

 

Sold the CGT and 918s. Reacquired every 997.1 and .2 3 and 3 RS. Have a couple Dakars, two Manthey kit 4RSs. A 996 3

 

The remaining are good but I think you sold the 2 best ones.

Of the two, I wanted the GTS with the intention of keeping it longer term.

What complicated this whole scenario for Ferrari was that I had already ordered both versions - I kept both orders explicitly to qualify for the VS/XX. Seeing the road show demo summer 2022 confirmed that, and another reason I did Atelier on the GTS. So when the GTB showed issues, and I was not intending to keep it, it became less about passion and more about pragmatic issues including net cost, depreciation and time down. If I had no other orders, I might have kept it even after the engine replacement.

You are looking at a very low spec car from a low tax country . To an extent the this is not that relevant
