Dear all. I have been inspired by the ‘Pictures of old Maseratis’ thread to question why there are so many posts about the (doubtless worthy and interesting) QP1
    In the GHIBLI thread…../-;

    Thanks!,

The brown car is #002

My photo too. I remember emailing the registry. We were all excited to fill in the first one.

I found a cover that fits a '67-'73 Maserati Ghibli. Its a Sealskin cover, model # 01-210-G-3. It measures 180" long and is a snug fit. The next size up is 197" which was ridiculously too large.

    Hi

Yes sorry about this one. this tyres production has moved factories, so there are all sorts of tests that have to be done on a re-industrialised tyre to make sure that they are up to standard - these are pirelli after all - but this has caused some delays and also means we cannot give a set in stone date for them. i am told they hope to go into production ant the end of this month, maybe February. which will mean it might be as late as March when i get them.

if you are des[erate in the mean time the only tyres worth considering are made by Michelin.

both brilliant tyres. thought the Michelin X is only S rated and not really a sports car tyre, it is a genuine period tyre and exceptional quality of course because it is Michelin.

what car is it? if it is really early you might want these.

Just seen the Joop Stolze dealership is closing with a very large 5 part auction. Among the lots are a late (1973) Indy, 4 Meraks! and Ghibli 022 which is missing its original engine and is now Chevy powered.

    https://www.classiccar-auctions.com/en/lot-details/28962/auctions/Classics/maserati-ghibli-1968

as you will see, it also has many other undesirable features like a scaffold pole artfully bolted behind the (non original) seats to act as a seatbelt anchor! It does seem to have a very big stereo though!

    totally unrealistically estimated at €115-135000.
    Bidding starts at 20k though….

got to see what else is on offer now!

Anyone have a comp on what a 4.7 Ghibli dashboard in good condition with all instruments and toggles etc. is worth?

    Not much out there.

I bought one, and another ZF S5 325 gearbox (this time NOT from someone in Mexico City...)

I dunno but I’m pretty sure one would be hard to find.
    My Ghibli has the toggles
So much cooler than the rocker switches

Greetings all Ghiblisti. I appreciate that this post is of very niche interest, but I thought I’d put the information out there in the hope of saving some frustration for someone.
if you need a new aluminium pipe adapter for your brake master, you will have found it the rarest of beasts. I knew it was common to the 101 Land Rover, but when I looked, there were none available. You can now find it here however:

    https://www.101parts.co.uk/shop/brakes/cylinders-brakes/brake-master-cylinder-adapter/

not the cheapest, but if you need one, you need one.

    best to all.

    Mark
