I doubt he actually thinks that far ahead given the time frame. This is who he is and he has no remorse or won't take blame for his utter embarrassment and incompetence for the spin into the wall and then beaching the car into the gravel when he should have stay on the asphalt part to get back on track. He didn't even think "Gee, with all the rain that has been pouring here, maybe it would be best to stay out of the rain soaked gravel as I might get stuck!" Nope he thought he could get that car through the rain soaked gravel and onto the track.

I have to admit that is funny. I'm not quite sure how he ended up in the gravel as he did. The only thing I would say is that the perspective from in the car is very different than the panoramic view the TV cameras gave. Not to discount it as it was a full on bonehead move.

If F1 ever had a race on sand (like dragsters sometimes do), he'd be well-equipped!

Alonso and Max both have 72% of the total points in their teams compared to their team-mates.....as it stands currently.

Stroll somehow getting even worse... Qualified at the back with his teammate making q3, then just punts Albon at that start and gets a 10s penalty. Mercifully Aston had him retire the car before he could do any more damage. Let's hope he's done after this season as he's been truly awful and only getting worse.

Any formal word on why Stroll retired, post race show commentators just said that Stroll felt that something felt weird with the car and they didn't expand or question it...I know he came in to serve his time penalty then went out for one lap before retiring. I wonder what it was or if he just didn't want to get a participation badge by staying out.

I didnt even see the team check the car for damages. Nothing visibly looked wrong. I can't help conclude he simply quit.

I can’t believe he has a super license. Utterly useless on the grid.

No one knows but his Daddy Protector attempting to buy a title for his less than talented/astute train wreck driver son. At some point given the cost and time involved, constant rookie errors should trigger a Super-license review.

SOS for Lance--lack of spatial awareness and racecraft. He is not respected by his competitors, they have come to expect the unexpected and try to give him a wide berth. He is a petulant, spoiled child. This is as good as he will ever get.
