Ignoring all the back and forth i think we can all agree on one thing- Max is the best driver on the grid right now and maybe one of the best of all time. Some are close but not as consistent nor as adaptable. Just look at T1 yesterday, textbook.

If you guys think that Mclaren is as dominant as RB was. Then I have no problem agreeing to disagree.

You need help man. You have completely lost the plot if you seriously cannot understand what Bas was saying. Everyone gets it, but somehow you don't? Either you really do have a problem with comprehension or you so argumentative and stuck in your own delusion that simple understanding is alien to you. Sorry for the harsh words, but it's actually quite concerning.

Literally everyone clearly can see @Bas post illustrates that if you ignore or erase the first 5 races when RB was dominant, and we start the season in Miami when McLaren became the best car, Verstappen still wins the championship. There is no agree or disagree, this is very simple math and nothing but facts. You are the only one that is fighting this and turning it into some strange baseless argument that doesn't make sense.

Now let me challenge your comprehension skills. Show me where I refuted those statements. Show me where i disagreed with those stats. My response is would Max have the WDC if the Maclaren became as dominant as RB. My later question I asked Bas was is the Mclaren more dominant than RB was. Your words are not harsh. Its impossible to affect me.

You immediately went off the rails in response to Bas' post.

Remove the first 5 races when he had a dominant car and you reply with "But accept he had a dominant car at the start".

Once again maybe you're the reason why nobody can understand what you're trying to say.

That's not me denying that RB had a less dominant car, or denying the stats Bas listed. My point was Bas seems that he is trying to equate RB dominance with Mclaren after Miami. That is simply not true. Merc and Ferrari often got the best of Mclaren. RB dominace with Newey was unmatched. That's what I was challenging Bas to accept. So yeah I feel you and Bas was indeed the ones who failed to comprehend.

Red Bull did not have a dominant car this season. In the first five races of the year, Max won because he simply drove better. I still believe Ferrari had the better car at the beginning of the season. Red Bull's performance declined after Newey left, allowing McLaren, Ferrari, and Mercedes to catch up and eventually become faster. Each team was competitive depending on the track. This is the first season where I’ve seen no single team consistently fast at almost all the tracks. McLaren was the most consistent. Max managed to take an uncompetitive car (the fourth-best team) and win the championship. As for Perez, he preformed as well against Max as Lewis did against George Russell.

2024 is the only year in F1 history where 4 teams have won a race.....ever. Some might call that historic and some might say it was all for show but whatever you call it, it sure kept everyone watching.

No way. I agree with Bas and SS544 that RB was dominant at the beginning. Your comparison of Perez/Max is not even close to being true. Merc drivers have same amount of wins. Sir Lewis Hamilton led in points for the majority of the season. Perez is not in the same universe in comparison.

I disagree RB was not dominant in the first 5 races. As for Lewis, the Mercedes is a winning car this year and should be destroying George Russell who I rate as a good driver, but no where near Max, Norris and Charles.

Correction. I believe it's the first time ever that 4 teams have won at least 2 wins each. Or something along those lines.

In 2012 six teams won races. 5 different teams in the first 5 races even.

    Max won the 2024 WDC...right?
I got confused as this thread devolved into some silly fantasy involving this guy driving this car (he didn't), some other guy driving some other car (he didn't), etc.
Some of you guys have too much free time.

I think some on here need to get checked over or strengthen the dose. Really....arguing about hypothetical scenarios with no reality whatsoever.

Ask yourself one question - would MV give you a lift if you was thumbing a ride? The answer would more than likely be NO, so why are some on here defending his corner like your life depended on it. Respect other peoples views and be done with it. FFS

Good points. Max has free time as well, he stated he could have won in the Ferrari or McLaren. But some here say he is not boastful. If Sir Lewis Hamilton said that.......

And your boy tried to quit the other night. This forum is less enjoyable because you are on it. You move goal posts when making points, you beat points to death with narrowminded thought, and you chastise and belittle people. And for what? Because you think someone put you in charge of the Lewis Hamilton fan club and how dare someone try to get away with treating Lewis differently that other drivers? Get a life, man. This is supposed to be a fun place to talk f1 and you make it the opposite of that.

Going back to my post during pre-season testing, I stated Max would not just walk away with the season, this year’s Red Bull is far closer to its development ceiling than the others on the field.

Next season will continue that trend. 2025 is up for grabs by a number of drivers. Will be a fascinating season as the front will be incredibly tight.

Completely agree. I think 4-5 drivers could win the championship next year. By the way this season has ended, I haven't been this excited going into a new season in quite a while.
