Max Verstappen

Lets hope you are right, the past 15 years we have had 4 world champions, Vettel (4) Rosberg (1) Hamilton (6) Verastappen (4) all in dominant cars. The critical bit will be if most of the teams have hit (or close to) the ceiling in development of the current cars. It seems that some cars are compromised on some tracks so some teams need to fix that problem to be overall competitive.

The Red Bull seems to have come alive once again now that the WDC is decided........draw your own conclusions!

You think this forum is enjoyable for others when people constantly attack one driver?. Do you think this forum is enjoyable when people randomly brig up Sir Lewis Hamilton just to bash him? Changing the course of a discussion? You think its enjoyable for others when one driver has the biggest thread mostly of people bashing him? Do you read where I've been belittled constantly? Or do you give others a pass when I'm belittled?

 

The problem you're having is you need to disconnect form your driver.

Example: We FChatters know @furoni HATES Alonso and he says it every now and then. The FChatters that praise his driving don't get a constant response from furoni.

I know @Terra likes Hamilton as well but he's not like you. He's got a tougher skin to deal with the not so enjoyable responses or the belittling as well @furoni.

Just relax. People have the freedom to express their own opinions even though those opinions don't coincide with yours.

Me and @william have differences of opinion here on FChat F1 and at least I respect his opinion.

 

You are pretty good yourself bringing Lewis up when it's not about him, too. So don't play victim.

You feel you're being belittled precisely for the reasons @SS454 says in post 5059 and @Alexweav79 in post 5073. You are incapable of forming a normal discussion, you talk about nothing else but LH. It's totally fine being a fan here of anyone, non Ferrari drivers or teams. But when you exclusively talk about just that one driver and have never once been capable of forming a compelling, well thought argument or even discussion, you must quite simply be trolling.

I don't have a problem with people liking or not liking drivers. You can express your own opinions. But you you can't express your own facts.... well you can but that's the area where I'm drawn in to discussions. And there's nothing wrong with that.

 

Agreed. You have to realize with regards to those facts that some of us here on FChat F1 with regards to Lewis Hamilton have or have had access to those facts that you are referring to. So my advice to you is debate it(facts) with WHOMEVER (while not destroying the FChatters "character") and then if you feel you're not getting your point across then be done with it.

Here's another thing, when Hamilton joins Ferrari, FChat F1 it is more than likely going to get his followers to join and most of us here will either not debate them or will debate them given what they do know or don't know regarding Lewis Hamilton. I for one will debate them as well as others.

 

No. Most of my post are responding to others who has already introduced Sir Lewis Hamilton into the topic. And I don't react to most things I see. You saying I'm incapable of forming a compelling, well thought argument or even discussion is simply not true. And also an insult. I don't get emotional here, I'm passionate yes, but I don't let people get me emotional. Some of you all should do the same.

 

Look at the "Stroller" thread. Now I will tell you that that thread has ALOT of back and forth from veteran FChatters and yet ALL of us in that thread respect one anothers opinion to an extent. We throw facts and stats and yet there is still an opinionated feeling for or against Lance Stroll.

Yes you should to respect every ones opinions. But they don't "agree" with every ones opinions. If everybody agreed on every opinion. Every thread would be 2 pages. Nothing wrong with disagreeing. This is a discussion forum.

Has anyone noticed the general fans have really changed their opinions of Max since Brazil?

Fans are now spitting on the FIA since they didn't call a SC when Hulkenberg was walking beside the track, only to throw it once McLaren pulled team orders and Lando became the leader. The fishy manipulation the FIA does and the well known British bias seems to be more visible now.

While Lando still has his fan girls, a lot of F1 fans that liked Lando are calling it how it is. Which is Lando blew his chance and was never really good enough to compete with Max. So when Lando says things like "it was luck" or whatever against Max, people seem to have jumped from Lando's ship onto the Max's.

George Russell is being crucified by his tactics in Qatar qualifying and now that Max flat out called him out and exposed him, George's retaliation is not going well with the public. Instead everyone seems to be on Max's side.


I don't know if this is a case of people just like to follow a winner or people are finally seeing through the fakeness or not listening to the narrative that the likes of Sky Sports is choosing to push as the next big star. I guess a lot of other fans are starting to appreciate Max's no BS attitude, not caring what others thinks, no pushing or playing politics, just get in the car and drive and do it better than everyone else.
