Sold F430 Titanium Oil Cap w/ Cavallino

I was told by the seller that this is a never used (new) item. I'm not so sure this is the case, mostly because I smelled oil when I took it out of the box. Nevertheless, the cover and dipstick are excellent condition. The original cardboard box shows significant signs of wear.

I cleaned the dipstick as it had some mild corrosion typical of a 15 year old dipstick that sat on a shelf or the like.

Please note, the cavallino does not sit vertical (in line with the engine) when sealed, included are 2 pictures of the two possible positions that it can be screwed down to.

I searched the Ferrari dealer network (had my dealer do a search), and the internet/ebay and as far as I was able to find, I do not believe there are any of these left that sit vertical. If someone says that have one, have them send you a picture, I had to return a few.

Anyway, I still have this one, and due to the orientation, I am asking $450 - includes CONUS shipping. This is less than what I paid, and all the other ones out there are asking typically hundreds more and also orient in the same position. Not sure what happened at Ferrari back in the day that they did not get them all vertical.

wow, rough crowd.

I absolutely love this cap, and think they really enhance the engine bay in any orientation (granted vertical is preferred), in fact I got the matching fuel cap and no one ever sees that one really.

Anyway, $350, CONUS shipping included

 

One of one's car, makes sense and I don't disagree, his painted cap works on his car, but at the same time, he has a very unique and spectacular F430

For a more or less stock engine, I think these look great, even not vertical
