I try not to complain/hate on anybody if they have an aura about them that attracts people to them. It's not their fault. That's who they are.

In that case Sir Lewis Hamilton wasn't hired to make money.

I almost wonder if Lewis boycotted his little farewell that F1 organized for him because even he knew it was silly and undeserved.

He was busy taking photographs with all the members of the the team that supported him to 7 driver's titles. I'd say he had his priorities right in his final moments as a Mercedes driver.

I hope he and Ferrari can click. Ferrari needs more constructor's titles and to battle for some driver's titles too.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

No evidence of any of that for you to wonder randomly. Unless you just like to wonder randomly.

I think he could have waited the 5 minutes to get started on that. Rosberg says off to Lewis and he's nowhere to be found haha. Not that I wanted to hear a typical Lewis thank you at that moment. The whole situation was just odd to me.

I'm a curious person, and I like to think. So I guess I wonder randomly. If someone didn't show up to their planned birthday party, I would wonder why. Kind of the same.

Yes but he is every bit as good as a 40 year old hamilton. I like George though

I also felt he behaved well and is a master at internal politics. Since his mclaren days he was always the favored driver...
To be fair Mclaren deserved the title they have been on the rise for 2 years and, if i am also honest the Mclaren production cars have been the cream of the crop for quite some time now as well.

Lewis does the right thing, pays hommage to the folks that he had so much success with, and the FC haters have an issue with how he did THAT.

Yes. I assume you believe Mercedes sabotaged Lewis' car or bought into the "experimental" excuse?

Teams ask drivers to provide time in practice for experiments all the time. In many cases they are open about this in the press around a race weekend. Call Toto and prove to us what you know in depth, given your insight only you seem to have. OF all the teams around F1 Mercedes tend to be open about its struggles, experiments etc. As an F1 fan its nice to see.

Drivers test new parts all the time as well as different setups. This is just normal operation. To suggest Lewis is testing some sort of unique experimental parts and setups to help Mercedes at the cost of his own program while George is not is ridiculous. Seriously, what do fans think this means? Lewis tested the flux capacitor and its why he was slow the last 3 years while George got the only real car? 90% of development comes from the aero side. Teams even disclose new parts that come to the track and this information is released to the public. Despite this along with visuals of the new aero bits that go on the car, we must believe Lewis has some secret stuff that only he gets to try? Sad that all these experiments are completely failures wouldn't you say? Not like Mercedes built the best car 8 years in a row.

    He’s one of us now.

He will help us sell more cars amongst those who can’t buy them and perhaps he will contribute to modernize Ferrari with bouncing cars and spinning rims of 24+inches

    yay

Sorry but he is not wired to be one of us, he's all for himself, I wish he would go and be all for himself by his self.

Bottom line: If you think the fanfare surrounding Lewis Hamilton switching teams isn't absurd, you're as biased as those who planned it. I've been watching 16 years and I've never seen that before. Retiring? Sure. Switching teams? GTFO.

Good on Lewis for not going up to the podium like they planned. He knew it was ridiculous and inappropriate and I applaud him spending time with his team.

Ever since DTS debuted F1 has been hell bent on turning every single aspect of the sport into dramatic soap opera fodder.

Honestly if I didn't have the F1 Pro TV app I wouldn't watch a single race. Sky is insufferable now IMO

what was also said by Mercedes is that the experiments where run on the cars at alternating weekends.

Doesn't suit the narrative though so didn't get nearly as many clicks.
