    Hello,
Have diagnosed a leak of my AC evaporator core in the dash unit. I am looking for a replacement evaporator core but finding the whole evaporator unit as replacement on part websites like eurospares etc..

Does anyone know where to find the the evaporator core and heater core replacement?
Also planning to do dash vents,TGK valve + expansion valve while in there, is there anything else which should be replaced while dash is out?

Perhaps get your "electro-blower regulator" P/N 64280200 refurbished with better transistors. aka "fan speed regulator" or "hedgehog". As the blower fans age, they draw more current and fry the transistors inside the hedgehog. I'm not sure if the fans themselves can be replaced.

Ian, do you know any good shops in Oz that rebuild the hedgehogs? Mine works intermittently, needs to be looked into by someone who knows what they're doing

Sorry, haven't heard of anyone in Oz. The guys in the UK seem to know what they're doing. Might be closer to you.

my car is in Melbourne, would be easier to get someone local, but UK it is then

Have you tried removing the hedgehog from the RHD car? I tried a couple of years ago but it seems the only way to do it is to remove the whole pedal assembly to get proper access. Way easier in LHD cars.

Yikes! I had the same issue with the evap core in my F430. My shop sourced a used core from https://ferrparts.com, as the new part was pushing $7k. They did a pressure test on it before installing.

I would suggest the metal vents from @rizzo308. Also, consider getting any of your sticky switches, buttons, etc refinished at the same time.
