    I have no need for another 458 and I'd still buy that unhesitatingly (seriously - DM me lol)

    Seems like well specced cars in good condition are moving quickly regardless of pricing. Nice 458s at dealerships are hard to come by and the ones that pop up don't stick around for long.

    i'll let you know i it goes up for sale. thinking about parting with it for 296gts i have coming in but i'm having a hard time pulling the trigger on that. i have a ways before i need to make a decision thankfully

    I just sold my 458 for a 296 GTB and have zero regrets. It's fantastic.

    What they are asking for and what they are selling for for are two totally different numbers. 160K for a 2012 w/12k gives a great idea of what the write a check today value is. Like every other car in this price range, the prices are falling. They will probably stabilize at 140K-180K just like they were before everyone thought car manufactures would never make another vehicle after Covid.

    That price is about right (perhaps on the high side) for that year, mileage and spec. I paid $255K for a similar spec (cuio/nero carbon seats etc.) 2013 w/11K but with carbon/leds (that one I agree is wierd), and the CPO warranty was on top of that (7,500 IIRC). The fact that the CPO warranty is included in the price is a plus. This is a really nice car, and as others have said, those are getting tougher to find. I agree in general that one should purchase what one wants within reason, and no obsess over 20K. Life's too short. I think the 458 coupes will stabilize around the 175s before going back up. The Spiders are keeping surprising value in the 250s... but I could see this going down to about 210-225 before heading very slowly back up. The fact that the 458s are one of Ferrari's most reliable, drivable, and serviceable cars, helps.

    On a side note, I am shocked at the hundreds of 296s already on the used market... not sure what that is about. The are over 150 on Ferrari's site and more beyond that.

    Glut, from overproduction. And, arguably, lack of emotional connection buyers are having w/newer models like 296.

    204 (two hundred four) 488 GTB/Spiders for sale.
    201 (two hundred one) SF90's for sale.
    183 (one hundred eighty-three) 296 GTB Coupes for sale.
    181 (one hundred eighty-one) Romas for sale.
    178 (one hundred seventy-eight) F8 Coupes for sale.

    100 (one hundred) 812 GTS's for sale.

    That's 1,162 newer-model Ferraris for sale now in US.

    Unprecedented.

    Really need to break them out by coupes vs Spiders.

    Given how Ferrari staggers their releases with spiders coming out last and, in general, being more desired it isn’t a surprise that more coupes are for sale particularly in the middle of lifecycles.

    A car with low kilometers is quite impressive, it shows that the car remains fresh, and the prices will be accordingly. However, I speak from experience, sometimes cars with such low km can cause more expenses due to not being used over time. In other words, there may be such disadvantages of buying a low-mileage car, including both the purchase and subsequent costs. It depends on your perspective on car ownership.

    i paid $275k 18 months ago, 2014 458 spider w/ 10k miles, 2 year certified, great history, red tan, daytona seats with nice red pipe stitching, good carbon, upgraded wheels.. beauty.. dealer offered me 235 recently and I see similar cars around 260. No regrets of course, i’d just have to do a direct sale vs a trade-in to keep the number close to my cost, i suppose.

    I check the ads from time to time and to me there doesn’t seem to be a ton of 458s for sale and the ones under 200k usually have an accident on their record or are lower spec ones. They at least seem to be holding value.

    I check listings/sites just about every week and have been for the last two year or so (and still check even after buying my first 458 in May of 2024). IMO pricing is sitll about the same as it was then and consistend based on specs and options. There have been less coupe vs spyders in recent weeks. I think the overall inventory is low due to not being peak season to seell a car.
