If they keep him they need to literally shut up about their ' young driver program'. The lack of performance would dictate removal. He's the 'Lance' of RedBull if they keep him lol :)

Checo had a horrible season, and under normal circunstances he shoul have been sacked long ago. But if we look deep at what hapened there are many things that are responsible for his poor form.
Nº1- Hugh Bird-Ehe wors race engeneer teh world has ever seen..Xavi marcos was bad, but this guy is a whole new game, he ****s Checo 2 or 3 times per qualifying and aniother 2 or 3 per race...he's just unbelievably bad....in contrast, Max has probably the best in the buisness. And it's not like Red Bull doens't have ather options, Woody or Roquelin are both very capable, so this is a decision i cannot understand on Horny's part.
Nº2-he doesn't drive the same car as Max, not even close. Max had the assimetricbraking, Checo did not. They use Perez as a guinea pig for Max in a way no other team ever did, and he receives the new material several races later.
Nº3-Marko hates him, makes racist jokes about him, and is always trying to bash him and push him out of the team, let's face it, it's very hard to deliver under such circunstances, and we all know he's a good driver, his dip in form is not normal. So i say, if they don't want him, just pay the guy and sack him.

I agree with what you said.
It looks to me they push him around, harass him, and expect Checo to blow his top, make the first move and resign..
But Checo keeps his cool, and stick to his gun, probably advised by his agent and sponsors.
I too suspect he is treated differently when it comes to upgrades, etc ... and gets a bum deal from the team at the track.

In qualifying Perez is often a victim of his own self disappointment. He often failed to put in a banker lap that pretty much every other driver was able to do, not just his teammate, and then he was forced to run a 2nd set of tires in Q1 and then he put himself in a position be at risk at the end. His engineer and team may have missed the mark a few times, but in most cases they never should have been in that situation, and that is down to Perez alone.

There is zero proof Max ever used asymmetric braking, though even if we assume he diI, there is nothing that suggests it was only on his car. In what races in the last 4 seasons have Max received upgrades before Perez? This season it makes perfect sense since he was the championship fight and Perez wasn't. Getting new material several races I do not think is true. If Max did receive an upgrade first, Perez would have it by the next round. Since Perez can't drive the car in the same fashion Max, what exactly would Perez be a guinea pig for? Also you're contradicting yourself by saying Perez was used as a guinea pig. That suggests he was testing new parts to help Max, and therefore would be getting new parts before Max, yet you claim he received them several races afterwards.

I agree Marko doesn't like him, but Marko has been known to be ruthless against any driver that didn't live up to his expectation. Gasly and Albon both felt the wrath of Marko. Perez hasn't got it any worse than them. It seems obvious Marko doesn't want Perez in a Red Bull any longer, but it seems pretty obvious that the profit suckers want to keep him around for the financial benefits he brings.

We know how much Mercedes will pay to win so why wouldn't Red Bull?

Without knowing the money coming in from Perez sponsorship deals, subtract the difference betwen 1st and 3rd in the constructors makes them ahead? Upside down? Break even?

They can't afford to keep him in the 2nd car even if the sponsorship turns them a profit.

Exactly. On top of all that, Perez has destroyed so many cars/parts, why are people still surprised he sometimes has to use "old" equipment? RBR can't churn out new part after new part (that all has to be accounted for). At times they are financially forced to go back to old parts; even if to keep a reserve for Max in case he needs a part. Perez isn't even in the fight for the top 5 WDC, why risk the WDC for Max for Perez' incompetence?

Latest Ive seen: ESPN F1 - UK

Sergio Perez's departure from Red Bull's Formula 1 team is likely to be confirmed before Christmas, sources have told ESPN.
Since the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Perez has been negotiating whether to remain on as an ambassador in 2025 or to walk away from the Red Bull company entirely.

An ambassadorial role would include marketing appearances and show runs - Perez signed a two-year contract extension to stay with Red Bull in May of this year.
Red Bull contracts bind the driver to the company, rather than a particular team.

The news is expected to be announced this week once Perez has decided which option he wants to take, although it is unclear whether Red Bull has given him a deadline to make that call.

Sources have told ESPN that Red Bull has already decided on Liam Lawson as his replacement.

I accept all that, and I understand why Red Bull would like to part with Perez.
Red Bull had the right to manage to their best interest, and I am not defending Perez who's geting worse this season.
What I cannot fathom out is Red Bull management, the constant badmouthing from Marko, the threat from Horner, and yet no clear decision is made.
What's the point of mounting a media campaign to berate one of their driver, and still give him for a new contract ?
It doesn't make sense !! Red Bull are good at many things, like designing winning cars, race strategy, pit stops, but drivers management isn't their strong suit.
Much has been said that Red Bull lost the WCC this year because of Perez, when in fact it was their own fault; when his form declined, they didn't do a thing apart from putting him under more pressure. That was like flogging a dead horse !!!

I completely agree with you how poorly the Perez situation has been handled. Given how incapable he is they'd have been better off putting him under pressure by giving him a 4 race contract earlier in the season, perform or you're out. The zero pressure approach has backfired massively. Don't perform after 4 races, enter Liam Lawson. Evaluate and move from there. If he impressess, great. If he doesn't sign Sainz, who I'm sure comes with a decent sponsorship package too.

The 'management' at RedBull is utterly confused and confusing. Let me know why Horner or Marko still have a job actually. Winning is almost by accident at times. They were absolutely the problem with Renault, as much as Renault was a problem. Its a joke at this point now in the Perez saga ongoing.

I would give some credit to Horner for the multi WDCs and WCCs won under his management, but none to Marko.
Renault ? They were a joke. Look how Honda redeemed themselves after a poor start. Renault got worse.

    Exactly, the corporate approach.

However with Sainz that wasn't a favorable driver pairing they considered with the previous friction as rookie drivers and Sainz may have been limited on how he would develop the car to suit him. The friction was mentioned earlier in the last half of the season in an F1 article. Sainz was offered a 1 year contract with Mercedes which he quickly declined. Very doubtful RedBull would have offered him a multi-year contract right from the start which is one of the things he wanted. At least he gets to stay in the game so to speak.

Originally Helmut Marko was the "eyes and ears" of Dieter Mateschitz, the Red Bull boss, and his adviser.
Niki Lauda had a similar job at Mercedes, advising the company management.
Marko was specifically in charge of Red Bull Academy, that's how he became influent in Red Bull Racing and Toro Rosso.
