    They are such a good idea arn't they????, the SA government had load shedding just recently and you couldn't run your aircon or dishwasher from 3pm till 8 pm.

    I very much doubt SD forgot to take that into account when he planned the whole thing. Not to mention his 20 years of 'no down time' for his business premises; that alone probably made it worthwhile.
    Some PV storage to run the pumps probably wouldn't go astray during the regular storms at your place...
