Have you been buying the warranty every year and doing extra services? That's about 10k/year each V12 vehicle. Doing this protects your investment and weighs heavily into the factory decisions on claims. If you don't opt in then my guess is your left with the GTS as is as a complete GPF delete and high flow CATs would void any engine and related claims.

The 812 GTS is being purchased now as a CPO with two years of warranty. Obviously- No prior history with this car.

I service all of my Ferrari’s annually with Ferrari. Again, I don’t think that matters regarding warranty decisions on a different car.

I have had other Ferrari’s with new car warranties as well as extended ones. I wouldn’t expect that to matter either.

Ferrari is notorious for denying warranty claims on modified cars.

Agree your out of luck on claims if deleting the GPF. The CPO, if not added to the purchase, likely won't garner much consideration in the future. Extending annually will be considered for future claims that could go either way though. My suggestion is just enjoy the car.

My local Ferrari dealer told me that the likes of Novitec and Capristo were viewed as OK and wouldn’t void any warranty claims, they even offered to source and fit a Novitec system for me. They weren’t keen on replacing the cats/gpf though.

Removing the back box has never been a problem with Ferrari as far as I know. Sport cats are a different story.

A few people have stated changing the back boxes did not improve the sound of the 812.

    Therefore- the dilemma.

250 Cats were the real game changer for me and it wasn’t a subtle difference. It made the car come alive and I loathe the idea of changing anything on these cars. To me it’s the equivalent of icing out a Patek or adding a few touch ups to a Picasso. I don’t think I’ll have an issue with my service dept but will let everyone know if I do. When I originally had fabspeed cats on they didn’t raise any issue.

You paid approximately $10k for the 3 Capristo parts? Was that used? List is about $18k. Ty

Hmmm maybe roughly $12k. Nothing used. I used my friends rate. They are one of the larger motorsport shops in SOCAL so they hooked it up, and then capristo had a sale around the holidays where everything was also 20% off.

Just put in an exhaust remote. Non-invasive, cheap and then you can still switch off for no drone for long highway drives. Not the loudest car on the street, but it's not quiet either. Historically, Ferrari's have never been extremely loud out of the box.

Also keep in mind the GPF breaks in over time as well.

The problem with a lot of these systems it that they make the car louder, not necessarily better. To me a lot of aftermarket exhausts just sound like a bunch of rocks rolling around in a tin can.

Exhaust remote does not get around the GPF which reduces sound quality as well as volume. I’m interested in improving both. The car sounds fine now. It can sound better. Opening the valves is good but does nothing to improve the sound.

Yes, valve remote helps when you hear the sound. At stock you're only hearing over like 4k rpm AND over a certain throttle percentage, other then that you basically can't hear anything. Super annoying
