One needs the car or you won’t be winning! Vasseur owns the results now for Charles and LH. I expect Charles to do well vs LH. Simply due to age alone he should do well. Certainly a few races will set the trend.
I'm sure diversify is not a bad word when it comes to selling their cars, merchandise etc. So shouldn't be a bad word in other areas.
That depends on who's pushing the "diversity" agenda. IF Checo Perez joined Ferrari and stated that the Scuderia needed more "diversity" in their organization, what does he actually mean? Or IF Yuki Tsunoda joined the Scuderia and stated that Ferrari needed more "diversity" in their organization, what does he mean? Does it also mean that the Ferrari Organization should stop talking Italian due to this "diversity" push to accommodate those that don't speak Italian. Can of worms to look at here.
Hamilton could literally walk into Honda F1 dept in Japan and tell them "You guys need more diversity here." Hamilton can walk into MercedesAMGF1 dept in Affalterbach Germany and also tell them that they need more diversity here. This same scenario can be said with Checo Perez given the two examples in Honda's F1 dept or Germany's MercedesAMGF1 dept. Hamilton is looking at this diversity issue from his eyes only and pushing it where "this diversity" that's he's pushing is somewhat non-existent given the countries current diversity in these F1 departments.
That’s not the type of “diversity” he is pushing. He believes F1 teams should hire based on gender, skin color and race instead of merit. That’s the type of DEI Lewis likes to push.
While we can talk about Ferrari and BudLight the real issue is I'm pretty certain Merc has gotten the best Hammy had to offer and that at this point in Hammy's career Ferrari has bought reputation not what have you done lately. What Hammy has done lately has just not impressed anyone.
With respect to the rules I can't do that here. I can easily and happily prove it in the F1 P&R thread if you'd like.
https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/f1-p-r-discussion-thread.631213/ You would need to be subscribed to see it. We keep P&R discussions contained to the private areas to keep the rest of the forum pleasant for car chat. All the best, Andrew.
You guys have been saying that for years....more german engineers/leadership, fewer italians....LOLOOLOLLOL
Well, back to the subject. Hamilton is in deed a great driver, but I fear he is past his best... just from the age perspective. I get that he wants to drive for Ferrari - everyone does... even if they dont admit it. So we'll see. If the car is good, he'll be good. If its poor - he will be poor. I think however the Italian way of life and work will be hard for him to adapt. This will be his first time out side a UK team. Knowing that where he lives etc does not matter, but fundamentally its going to be him that has to adapt, and not Ferrari that adapts to him... I'm not so sure that will work at Maranello..... and fundamentally I fear that the focus will be more on the tensions that will build between the two worlds vs. the energy going into running the car. Happily there is always the Le Mans program - I hope they sign Perez to the team.
BTW .... I Hope I'm wrong. I'll will be rooting for both... thrilled if Hamilton can bring a championship to Ferrari...
Aaaannnnddd another thread that I can pass by. Really too bad. There should be a "we say the same thing every time no matter the thread title" that some people are confined to. FFS
Love it or hate it, this will be one of the main talking points in F1 in 2025. I'm curious to see how it turns out. I expect Charles to come out on top, but I also wouldn't be surprised to see Hamilton do the same he did to Rosberg. I hate to think what that would do to Charles mentally though...
Charles will be fine. He is not a weak driver. The objective piece of this remains to be LH and not adapting 1 lap pace for qualy in ground - effect F1 cars now. Without a good improvement in qualy Charles will have the upper hand when lights go out. Working harder later in the race is not a strategy for success overall for LH. He must improve qualy performance. The last 2 years have not been very good, certainly not last year with respect to Russell.
