Not sure I'd put them in that order, but not much to argue with on the selections. Except to me the 330 P4 which was not intended for road use and what, 3 were built, not sure that would make my list.

Agree. I'd probably rank the 512TR higher than the TR, and the 328 is a better car than the 308 (I owned both.) But it's an impressive result.

To each their own. I’m not saying the 456 is an awful car but there are so many better ones to be in the top 20 greatest Ferrari’s.

TR was the original, the Icon. 512 was simply an update and a sales failure. I remember the customers comments "Why buy one of those, I already have one". Does not even belong.
As much as I like 328 same applies.

 

The "top" criterion isn't defined. No doubt the 308 and TR were the design landmarks, but the 512TR (especially the later ones) and 328 are better sorted.

From a contemporary marketing perspective, they felt like more of the same. We saw some long product life cycles in the '80s from Ferrari as well as the Germans, but by and large the later R107 SLs, 3.2L 911s as well as the 328 and late 512TRs are better if arguably less iconic cars. In the real world, most people probably couldn't tell a 308 from a 328, or a 512TR from a TR.

 

I would not say decadence so much as the further dumbing down of all mankind.

 

As you wish but both are pretty parallel disasters.....see the way people speak and write and behave ever worse...
