Not the OP. There are limited cars in that range. I own a 992 Turbo S and it is fun and amazing but more than half the cost of the 12C and in a different bracket all together. Also, Aston/McLaren’s devalue like Tesla’s, at a rate I have never seen before. My buddy had bought a new 720S and used with a few (5k) miles yield 40%-50% drop in value.

I doubt that the 12C is “sold out”. That’s just dealer speak. At the price point, I don’t think the car will be especially hard to acquire. I say all that as someone who ordered a Coupe and who is very excited about the car.

Ferrari will run out of customers before they run out of capacity to make the 12C. The production will end once the orders stop.

    Hahaha!

I know. I added a “shop” and still anticipate an addition. It is a terrible problem that I should seek help for.

    Great newd!

Oh the deliver will be delayed another 90 days die to production delays!

Okay so in the subject of getting a car at a discount.

if i lived in Europe Id track the wrecked Ferrari being repaired in Italy.

Bargain with the seller. get a nice car with tons of pricey upgrades at a used accident history price. An accident would decrease market pricing (MSRP ) by anywhere from 15-35%
Since airbags were deployed and the front and read bumper, hood, door and quarter panels and wheels were involved, Id be looking at a 35% discount or more esp if frame damaged and brake system were also damaged.

Id also argue that the yellow gold color and green seats are pretty hideous. knock off another 10%

    35 percent off the MSRP!

Much better cars to track than that 4000lb pig. Its more of a cruiser than a track car.

This. You would have more fun tracking a Miata than a 12C.

I know, your mothers 3rd cousin told you about McLarens depreciating - same old story. Ferraris don't depreciate though, they are really holding well.

You can check previous BAT and Manheim sales to see how the percentages actually vary, or just stick to throwing out sarcastic comments on forums. Your call.

    Is that you Flavio?

    No, you can't save it.

Its ugly, way over-priced, and has no sound. The worst of Ferrari to date.

Is anyone worried about the incoming administration’s statements regarding tariffs on EU goods? I will probably cancel my 12C allocation if a 10 or 20% tariff gets enacted. The car is already stupid expensive as is. Slapping another $60K on the price needlessly would not work for me.

True. I can also elect to jump off the price escalation Merry-Go-Round:) I love F-cars. But, the depreciation on these non-special edition cars is becoming a huge pill to swallow given the astronomical prices of today's new offerings. I might just have to only buy pre-owned stuff going forward despite having bought most of my F-cars new previously.

That’s what I’m doing. Anyone that wants buy into the ever increasing spiral of sticker prices and the corresponding doom of giant depreciation be my guest.

Reminder, you can buy beautiful looking and beautiful sounding F12s in the $200s.

Isn't that wild, when you step back? "Yeah I signed this binding contract that says I cannot cancel my order and I have to pay whatever they say it will be when it arrives." "Well, how much is that going to be?" "I don't know."

That’s what I’m trying to say! I’ve been a fan of the brand for more decades and I care to remember but at some point enough is enough. I tell my wife some of this stuff and she just looks at me like I’m nuts, like why would you do this to yourself?

I think RACE needs to be taken private. The 12 Cilindri is exactly why.

The wealth created in the last few years is astonishing, and the number of people globally who can afford $600K cars is a high as ever. The problem, in my opinion, is that the value is gone. If Ferrari - who, let's not forget, historically created magic that simply couldn't be articulated - delivered a $600K car that inspired enthusiasts like a $1M car, then the potential pride of ownership would fuel that historic desire and they would have continued to carry the mantle of making men feel like boys and James Bond simultaneously.

However, the magic isn't there and therefore the value doesn't compute. In my opinion, it's because $600K for the 12 Cilindri is purely testing the limits of the pursuit of higher and higher margins. Haptic buttons, passenger screens, cheap plastics, tons of marketing... undisciplined, cheap novelties that are intended to veil the intent to extract as much as possible from Customers while delivering as little as possible to them. The corporate formula is as old as time, but the rub is that Ferrari is pure passion. There will always be buyers in it for the prestige, but I don't think that's sustainable because it's not differentiated (enter Lamborghini, McLaren, etc).

In my opinion, the cracks are forming in this newest generation of cars and will blow wide open by the next one. As a private firm, the passion can be prioritized at the expense of absolute margins, however I suspect that would benefit their success in the long run by filling the cracks and maintaining the magic. Understood that regulations impede the freedom to create, however these news cars are simply uninspiring, feel lazy, riding the momentum of the brand halo (Cadillac is a cautionary tale here...) and when I take a step back, are taking advantage of rich guys - and when they get burned, the music will stop because the hardcore, very willing and very able enthusiasts are already a step ahead of them @roma1280 being a prime example.
