I don't know, there is a person in our neighborhood that apparently yells at people to 'slow down', regardless of how fast they are going. They live on a street that I rarely need to travel down, but if they every do yell at me, my response will be - "Whhhaaaattttt ddddooooeeessss aaaaa yyyeeellllllllooowww lllliiiggghhhttt mmmeeeeaaaannnn?????"

Was going through a stretch with a couple of very tight corners. You could try to go 35 through there, but good luck doing it.

At a recent show, had a guy walk up to me by my 456 and make some admiring comments, then said he loved the Popup headlights. Proceeded to ask me if I could make them blink one at a time like a Miata. And he was totally serious. I just stared at him deadpan, and trying not to be too much of a Smart a$$ simply said, no they only work properly.

Last week a guy said it was nice that my dad let me drive his car when I was done washing it. I'm 34.

I just said wow, I haven't heard that one in a while. I think next time it happens I'm going to snap back about how my dad died the day before and how they are a piece of **** and see how far I can take it. It always comes from some 50-60 year old alcoholic at a bar that pissed their life away.

I love this thread and I realized that is has been so buried that many members have forgotten about it and new members don't even know about it. So I wanted to get it back in the forefront. Here was one of my posts from 2020 -

I was just registering for the FCA Annual Experience in Mont Tremblant when I remembered an experience we had one time when leaving Canada. It was a Sunday afternoon in the summer when we approached the border crossing in our 612 OTO. There were three lanes and each lane had about 20 cars in it. We were in the middle lane. I kept looking at my temp gauge anxious to get through and get moving again.

When we reached the CBP officer he had a smile on his face. Now we travel out of the country several times a year and CBP officers are rarely smiling. They are polite and cordial, but very business-like. In jovial way he said I need to know where you've been, what you did, what you bought, what you are bringing back. He was obviously in a lighthearted mood. I answered his questions (as usual I didn't buy anything, only my wife bought stuff).

As he handed our passports back, he pointed to a sign that was about 100 yards up the road. He asked, "How fast can this car get to that sign?" I knew what he was insinuating and asked, "Are you serious?" He leaned into my driver's window and with a huge grin said, "Hey, we can't give out tickets."

So I rolled out of the shute and once clear I nailed it. The sound of my upgraded exhaust is just unreal, and I stayed on it well past the sign he had pointed out. I think it was his way of making an otherwise tedious and repetitive job just a little bit entertaining.

The funny part of this was (and I hadn't thought about it), my wife said to me, "All those cars behind us must think we're running from the Border Patrol!" :D

When I brought my first Ferrari home a bunch of years ago I was polishing it up in the driveway. A kid who lived on the corner said “nice mustang”. To which I replied, “that’s no way to talk to your father, now go tell your mother to make me a sandwich.... she knows how I like it.”

Not so much of a comment, but a reaction. I was moving away from a stop sign in my 360 this past summer, and there was a woman walking along the side of the road, going in the same direction. I (truly) gently accelerated away from the stop sign and passed her, probably not exceeding 3500 rpm in 1st. As I pass her, I look in the mirror and she's holding both hands up to her ears yelling at me and then gives me the finger. Granted the car is a little louder than stock with a Tubi, but apparently still too loud for her sensitive ears.
My Tubi is music to my ears.

Just had an Amazon driver drop off some things to me in my driveway, and said he liked the BMW (e46 M3 convertible) sitting in the garage. I said, did you see the other one up above.. he walked up the driveway with me and saw the Ferrari on the lift, said "cool, I still like the Bimmer better"

Haha. I was at a hot rod gathering and my 430 was across the road. I was chatting to a guy about his car and he asked what had. I pointed across the road. He looked confused and said is that an MR2?

Last weekend when parking up in a town over to get some cake for my bday, a guy walked by and said "Stop showing of a rental car".... Which rental company still has a F430 Spider in their fleet was my first thought....

Ofcorse the comment was made by a passing by pensioner on his bycicle with a helmet on....

    Had a strange one...

I was in my 488 at light with my business partner and a guy next to us honks his horn and motions to roll my window down. So I oblige and with a straight face he goes "bro....be honest....rental right?"

I respond, no, umm I bought it almost a year ago.

He shrugs his shoulders up, tilts his sunglasses down to add effect and goes "Bro...are you sure....come on, don't lie, it's a rental"

(He's in a beat up Altima with a loose front bumper, which is normal for that car lol)

I respond "Ya got me, I even went so far as to buy a customized plate for it and everything!"

Missing my sarcasm he goes "Ha, I knew it and grins like he just discovered fire"

I turn to my buddy and we both just start laughing. People are weird as hell.

Not verbal, but years ago I was on a spirited country drive with a bunch of others from the local FCA. I always hang near the back.

There was an old lady in a muumuu standing in front of a doublewide trailer with both hands raised and the middle fingers extended. She didn't flip off any particular car, she just stood there like a statue and let everyone passing in front of her know what she thought of us.

Easily the #1 question for the Diablo, people are shocked it's a 1991 and 34 years old now.

#2 is, "Is that a Countach?"

Everyone loves it though, no negativity in almost 8 months.

That's why I'm not offended when people never heard of a 612, or ask what the eff is an FF! :D

Driveway in a subdivision... not really a long mysterious journey. He would have already walked up to and by it to put the packages on my porch, in this case he came halfway up already to hand them to me and gave a compliment. Not really worried about it otherwise
