Great balanced review of an actual 1,600 miles of driving which is likely more than most owners have driven. I’d like one some day since I do prefer SUV’s but have to admit it’s a jacked up Lusso and at a $450k price delta I’ll do another Lusso12….for now.
I went very bare on this car. But not due to pricing. Just a minimalist. No carbon, no glass roof. No shields. Only special order was slight interior leather colour arrangement.
Or some guy on fchat I guess. Harry’s a legend who owns many of the goats, drives nearly everything of significance, and had a very balanced view.
My apologies. I thought it was another guy. I will say most of these guys haven’t lived with the car. They have it for a day or so. Almost impossible to come to a definitive judgement.
Harry said he loved the engine which was very special and the 4wd system which works well as well as the practicallity of the car however he said he could never own one because the haptic controls ruin the car and are very frustrating, also complained about the price
I can’t stand the haptic controls either, but I’m sure I’ll still love my Puro just as much as I love my SF90 and 296. The haptics are bad, but not bad enough to me to offset the overall brilliance of all three.
And one of the original founders of Evo magazine. Yes, that Evo magazine, the same fishwrap that spawned such legends has Chris Harris, Jethro and Catchpole, etc..
Only Harry would point out and complain about the amount of fluid and lack of coverage of windshield wiper sprays. LOL
As Harry seemed to imply in the video. You buy the Puro for that magnificent NA V12, and to balance the equilibrium in the universe, you have to suffer the inanity of the UI and haptics.
Had a consultation about F80 and the steering wheel is very interesting. Wider than tall; and the best part they’ve returned buttons in place of the haptics. Hoping they’ll follow suit going forward with all models. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don’t think they’ll let themselves do that. Especially considering they tried it during the testing phase and said the 12 was the best fit.
if they are re-introducting buttons on the revised sf90 and future model years of the puro then they really need to offer it as a retro upgrade for existing cars or it'll kill their value
Very small chance Puro is trading the same as Lusso in 3 years. In fact, probably zero. Puro is better looking and just a more acceptable package. We’ve had an FF and a GTC4 and loved both. It just is what it is, people love SUVs.
