Tadge is one of the greatest "cause and effect" guys ever. His ability to explain complicated things to normal (non-engineers) people is just amazing. He will be missed.
Not sure how many people are going to be cross-shopping the ZR1 with other exotics but I’m going to have a helluva time choosing between the ZR1 and a 675LT if the ZR1 is similar in price.

performance is hypercar but i would give that up to get a restyle that reduces trunk area and overall smooths off the sharp lines. with all the restomod companies out there, someone should make a bodykit that goes for subtlety instead of typical vulgar widebody kits we see
All that matters is the 'Ring' time. ..... Seriously. Especially after the (bean counters/trans gearing) Z06 FAIL. .
https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a63385121/2025-chevrolet-corvette-zr1-pricing/ The ZR1 is going to start at $174,995.
That is the price of the 3LZ convertible. The ZTK package requires that you get the carbon fiber package which adds another $8.5k.
Thanks. So, $205 if you get the ZTK with the carbon fiber package. I talked with the dealer today and he stated that he did not expect allocation information until mid-February at the earliest.
That is what I took from this article: https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/other/2025-chevrolet-corvette-zr1-is-52-900-more-than-the-last-zr1/ar-BB1rbxX0?ocid=msedgntp&pc=U531&cvid=2e44f85d4795485ca22ddc2dd142575f&ei=43
With the "regular" GT3's base price now at $224K, where in the world is the new GT2RS base price going to land???? I would guess well north of $325K... I guess we can cue up the "$200K for Chevy???" comments to go along with "$325K for a 911???"
I am starting to think what a 1,000 bhp vette will be like to drive on the street with a MSRP, plus taxes north of $240k.
The new C8 ZR1 is unquestionably impressive and going to lay down some serious times - having said that for the price I would buy a 458 over it in a heartbeat. A 10+ year old Ferrari is still 100 times better looking than any Corvette. And I own a Corvette - which I love - but it ain't no Ferrari.
It is an awesome car and they definitely “got it right”. No longer is Corvette just the “best bang for the buck”. But as above, it ain’t no Ferrari.
No, it's a Corvette... It's not a trick to build a great $300K sports car. It IS a trick to build a great $70K sports car
Different tricks. GM builds 40,000 Vettes/year and by scale achieve their performance/price point quotient and keep the nugget machine chuggin Ferrari’s total production is 10,000/year and by race/ designer inspired exotica provide the inspiration to the industry... and us Without Ferrari, Detroit would still be building impalas and leaf Springed straight line gassers
^^^ Wow. I'm happy to give Ferrari it's due, but let's not get carried away here. PS. Ferrari shipped 13,663 cars in calendar 2023. I assume they shipped more cars in 2024.
