Identical to a buddy - same issues (and I was with him at the the time - screen would just go blank) and Ferrari never were able to fix it. He got rid of it.

I heard and see on the spy shots: It looks like a 296 Challange but without wing but with gourney-flaps (left+right)
Bumper front and rear with all the fins, bigger sideskirts with rear brake supply, S-Duct, i hope for two single exhaust pipes, ...

I guess 900hp+ combined for the 296VS. (Temerario got 920hp combined. (stand alone power at the Themerario: 800hp + e-300hp))
I guess it will also get the Extra E BOOST logic like SF90XX - but i guess no Boost or DRS Button on the steering wheel.

I guess a pricing of +60k€ compared to 296GTB/GTS - so a net of around 310-340.000,- € (of course there will be as usual expansive options to add - maybe another track option pack next to all the carbon options etc.)

    another good spy video:

This extra E boost would make sense, given the precedent. XX got 30 hp. So let’s say 40 hp from ICE (same as challenge) and 30 from electric. Even 900 PS as was stated earlier.

the SF90XX turned up the power with software logic alone, parts are identical. I wonder if Ferrari would give that software logic update to base 296’s via a software upgrade.

I dont see how they make the car w/o the hybrid. They are trying to make the brand more and more about hybrid, and even ev, and to make a special version without it when the regular version does have it makes little sense- except to those of us who would like them to drop the hybrid stuff. I also tink they need it for the regulations/ emissions. No doubt they will do it very well.

    ... and got black listed.
C'mom the screen or whatever could be fixed - could it be the fact owners can "Lemon" and get all your money back vs depreciation. Lambo is offering up to 150k not to Lemon vs Ferrari will not.
It's a personal choice - not an easy one and I get it. Personally prefer building a bridge vs blowing it up but it's not easy and owning these exotics is not for the faint of heart, not just Ferrari but all of the exotics - it's not always fun but imo more fun to play vs sitting on the bench.

Everyone has the right to do as they wish but there is a downside - it's a very personal decision. The whole car thing is a sickness - trust me I am guilty but there are far worse and far more expensive sicknesses :)

Pricing from the scarcity and upsell masters will be hefty. Ferrari can shred through your cash faster than a Vegas casino.

Goes both ways - How many Comp owners are there made 1m - Puro going over msrp.
Just like Vegas odds are against you but prefer to hold a set of keys vs clay chips sitting on a stool
It's not just Ferrari - it's every exotic.

With the SF90 replacement coming later this year, do they care about the 296VS impeding on the current SF90's specs/territory? The discrepancy would be cleared up soon enough and could help them easily clear the Temerario and justify higher $$ for the VS. Just pondering...

No lemon laws where he lives and a major Ferrari guy. The car went back to Ferrari many times - a genuine issue and a guy who does not play games over simple stuff like a ferrari

People cross shopping - I think the VS is not going to be an easy allocation. Even if it's the dealers decision expect a CPO purchase from dealer if you aren't in line vs Temerario allocation.

I'm 99% certain its a hybrid, and the 700 for the V6 and 200 for the e-drive, to be clear is my best guess, but based on they can get 900 out of the V6 in a 499P, and the e-drive improvements made in the last few years.... I'll stick with a shade under 900, at 890

They would do the SF90 folk real dirty if it wasn't hybrid since the SF90XX uses the same hybrid system as its regular.

And then think of the R&D it would take to make a version of all the mechanical and electrical systems to non-hybrid. Lots of people like to pretend it's easy and simple, since their race car doesn't use it, but it's not just as if you just take out the battery and motor and then you get the racecar's architecture.

There are unholy things I would do for a street-legal, gas-only version of the 296 from the factory, but I'm 99.9999% sure it won't happen with the VS.

You mention the preference to build a bridge instead of blowing it up? It should be the exact opposite where the dealers are looking to build a bridge with customers by satisfying the customer - not instilling a threatening environment whereby if customers step out of line by refusing to accept overpriced faulty goods or complain they become blacklisted as a consequence. Such a ridiculous situation.
Where many customers are concerned Ferrari HAS become a sickness, and a sickness affecting other Ferrari buyers who expect a properly functioning product for the huge $ asked, which also doesn’t drop like a bomb.
The BS situation solely created by these insecure apologists so desperate for financial recognition they are prepared to put up with anything whilst on their hands and knees, and Ferrari is laughing all the way to the bank.
If a car doesn’t work properly the customer should be taken care of, not thrown under a bus.
I get the opposite treatment from Lambo. These guys go to all lengths to build bridges. This is how it should be. These apologists need to stop appologising.

    Anyway - back to topic.
My expectation is not so much for additional power but for less weight, less complexity, more user friendliness, better reliability.
If they took a leaf out of Porsches book and got rid of the heavy battery, put a small one in and add the electric re gen turbo that’d be a step in the right direction. They may even find a bit more power in that process, not that the car needs it.

However, looking at the curent 'picking order' it can't be that the 296VS will be quicker on Fiorano then the SF90XX.
Give it 900hp with some minor aero and I have no doubt it will be quicker.....!

Ferrari - knows what they are doing - their depth of customers / enthusiasts are the envy of a company like Lamborghini.
I've owned Lambo and ordered Sian SVJ63 and SCV12 - cancelled after NY Cali Italy where the car was still in clay form and the engineer finally stated the roof was same or lower than SV. I cancelled SVJ63 Sian and SCV12 - spare me the Lambo / Audi / Bentley / Porsche vs Ferrari.

The line is shorter and Lambo Aston Mac - it's a fact to get special cars.
The VIP line at Ferrari - show me one VIP that posts negative of Ferrari - anywhere on this forum.
One Comp owner complaining about build quality when they made 1M over msrp.

Bottom line - Ferrari has VIPs then everyone else and until you are part of the VIP family attend F1 Pilots Debuts Drives literally as a lifestyle - you aren't a top customer.
We all know this system and how it works - if you don't like it - it's ok and you should buy from others.
I've owned every like brand - if you or anyone thinks these factories build bridges for their red carpet customers like Ferrari - go experience it.
Lambo tried with SCV to compete with XX - ask those SCV owners how it worked out same as Mac Senna GTR. Ferrari is about experiences racing debuts F1 etc. fan base is massive.
Ferrari is a major commitment - not buying one and bitching about paint haptics depreciation - which Is what this forum does ad nauseam.
It's like a trophy post to complain about Ferrari - you just proved it, and the same ones over n over.
People must feel so sorry for someone who bought Ferrari and it depreciated - crocodile tears.
Aston Mac Bentley Rolls owned them all and they all go down - who cares!
Lots of guys bought Ferrari's a long time ago that have massively appreciated - as in 100000 and millions. Ferrari is a public company - as a stock holder each and every one is happy.
It's a car a sport a luxury lifestyle item - that's all no different than every other luxury in life.
