Supplying engines for ULA has probably slowed them down.

I don't think New Glenn was even ready for them. New Glenn is Blue Origin's first big rocket. They are more like NASA than SpaceX. Cautious and slow.
The only rocket they've developed is the "amusement park ride for rich people", New Shepard, which had a BE-3 engine failure in 9/22. (not BE-4).

    > More importantly, they were having troubles with BE-4 development. So why not let ULA (United Launch Alliance) be the guinea pig and be the first to fly the BE-4 on their Vulcan Centaur. (1/8/24 - successful :))

Blue Origin Rockets Crumple And Explode in Two Incidents

Two Upper stages of Rockets at the Blue Origin New Glenn Factory were damaged in the last few weeks. These incidents are only now being reported.

The upper portion of one rocket crumpled into itself, in part due to worker error, while it was being moved to a storage hangar. It was moved from hot and humid conditions outdoors an into an air-conditioned storage hangar. It then collapsed like a crushed coke can.

In a separate incident, another upper rocket portion failed during stress testing and exploded.
New Glenn is designed to compete with SpaceX Falcon Heavy and is four years late.

Blue Origin is trying to launch NASA Escapade mission to Mars. It needs to launch in October, 2024 when the Mars launch window is open. Mars and Earth get aligned every two years.

Another example of how a true 'skunkworks' organization can succeed, and where engrained big corporate culture will fail.

Nov launch?? lol, already halfway through Nov.
Complete assy, move to pad, conduct static hot fire of all 1st stage engines, evaluate ............ Do they mean Nov25?
More likely prediction is before that ever lifts off Musk will have launched a couple more Starships and numerous Falcons (including crewed).

The potential cost overrun was probably a risk assessment of whether they would have to build new probes if the launch failed. A prudent move.

This thing is crazy! Almost the same size as a Saturn V.

Only 2 stages to orbit. The reusable booster didn't land on the pad in the ocean for some reason.

The booster data quit updating at 84k ft on descent. Wonder what happened.

Interesting that Blue Origin showed ship data in MPH and ft/mi (switched from ft to mi at Karmen Line), versus Space-X which uses kph and km.

If Space-X video is an 'A', then Blue Origin is a 'C'. Really annoying the two audio feeds.

My prediction was wrong, re Space-x would launch another Starship befor BO launched. Hope BO gets another aloft soon.
